was hoping to get some clarification on tickets purchased in sale phase 5.
if we buy tickets in sale phase 5, they will not be delivered but have to be picked up in germany.
so the question is.
if we somehow magically manage to pick up tickets to the final in the last sale phase.
when can we pick them up?
can we do it at any time during the world cup or does it have to be a few days before the final actually starts?

cant find where i saw it now but....
i think that tickets can be picked up at the ticketing centre at each stadium. you can pick them up for your match on any day that a match is being held at that stadium !
So if you are lucky enough to go the final and you know you have tickets like a week before. if there is a game being played at berlin during that week you can pick them up on that day !
like i said cant find where i saw it now but pretty sure thats right !

Isn't this much the same as what we dealt with here? (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=8085551#post8085551) Which was a yes, hopefully that's right.
And it's on days where there is NOT a match on at the stadium, that they want you to pick up tickets, right?
Anyway, I assume then that what happens is they print your ticket on the spot, whenever you turn up somewhere to collect it. And I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't do that for you as soon as you get to Germany, if you like. AFAIK the only reason they're not posting them is because they might not reach you in time.
I could be wrong of course.

hehe...i think that is pretty much the same question..
maybe i should call fifa and ask them to get a correct answer.
but if what u say is correct, then i guess we coudl go to frankfurt, which would be the closest town to where we are staying and pick up the tickets from there.

From memory it's any time during the tournament from any venue aslong as there isn't a match being played that day.

Yep, the trouble seems to be that while everyone seems to remember seeing it somewhere that blah blah blah, we've got nothing concrete to go on. Probably that's why you were asking again, can't blame you.
And since you're volunteering...:) Let us know how you get on, cheers!

Sorry for asking what may seem obvious but how did you find out that phase 5 tickets will not be shipped and can only be picked up?
Someone mentioned it in this thread but gave no source as to where they found this information:
http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=338037
I know tictets will not be shipped in the 2nd phase of conditional tickets for those living outside of Germany or after the 17th May but where does it say about phase 5 tickets must be picked up?
I've just had a quick search on the FAQ on the FIFA website but I can't see anything.
Thanks in advance for any responses. I need to know as it will affect which of my friend's applys as "the applicant" for tickets especially as some of our credit cards are nearly maxed out already!

I just bought some tickets in the new resale. Important info in the email I got:
Your order cannot be delivered. Your tickets will be deposited at the
stadium for you to collect them. You may collect your tickets until
one day before the selected match takes place at any of our twelve
Stadium Ticket Centers. Tickets may not be collected if on that
specific day and at that specific stadium there is a game taking
place.
If you wish to collect your tickets on the day of your selected match
you will only be able to do this at the Stadium Ticket Center of the
stadium where this specific game is taking place.
This e-mail includes as attached document a tickets certificate in pdf
format. Please print out the certificate and bring it to the Stadium
Ticket Center together with an official identification document for
the collection of your deposited tickets. Doing this you will save
time on collecting your tickets. If you do not have the programme
needed to open the pdf document you can download Acrobat Reader with
no charges under www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
The address and opening hours of the twelve Stadium Ticket Centers
will be published in due time before the tournament starts at
www.FIFAworld cup.com as well as on your Customer Self Service.

More info, from the certificate:
This confirmation does not authorise you to attend the matches of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™. Only
original tickets will enable you to enter the stadium.
You may collect your tickets at any Stadium Ticket Center of any of the twelve FIFA World Cup Host Cities by
presenting this ticket certificate.
Please mind the following limitations on collecting your order: On the day of a match and at the Stadium where

matches within your order you collect all of them at once. You will find more details on the address and opening
times of the Stadium Ticket Center in a document attached to this certificate.
For the collection of your tickets you will be asked for an identification document and this ticket certificate or
your order confirmation.
If you ask someone else to collect your tickets make sure that his person brings an authorisation signed by you,
a ticket certificate or order confirmation and a copy of your identification document. This third party will also be
asked for an official identification document.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™!
