Spain vs. England for the two cup finals
As if we needed any more reminders of the continuing dominance of the top 3 leagues in co-efficient ranking, now we get the cup finals being disputed by teams from those two nations. The previous two years were anomalies as you had the Champions League won by Porto and last year's UEFA Cup won by CSKA Moscow. Now it looks to be business as usual again.
Is it the luck of the draw? Money? Prestige? A forerunner of what's to come in the World Cup?

I hope I don't get accused to giving away the results for this title.
But you did. The only way that both finals could be contested by the teams you say is if the results worked out the way they did - edit the title!

OK, done.
Anyway, congrats to Boro for those two amazing comebacks! Now that's a club that took the hard way to the final, not that the competition was amazingly hard this year.
Weren't Sevilla and Barcelona supposed to make up a league match? That's looks virtually impossible to do now.

The Spanish sports newspaper Marca is reporting:
Sevilla-Barcelona on May 3.
Round 36 on May 6-7
Round 37 on May 13-14 (though Barcelona-Espanyol will probably be played on May 12)
Round 38 has been pushed back to May 20, which screws up world cup preparation for many players.

Of course. The solution to every other scheduling problem. Just push it to mañana. Darn the torpedos.
A better idea would be to wait to see if Barcelona would wrap up first place this weekend and then have both teams use their C squads at a neutral venue and get it over with.

FIFA nixed that plan.
Round 36 will be on May 2-3-4
Round 37 will be on May 6-7
Round 38 will be on May 12-13
Sevilla-Barcelona will be on May 20. That game may be completely meaningless by then, especially if Sevilla were to win the UEFA Cup.

That Sevilla-Barcelona match might still have some importance by then, unless Osasuna wins their last match.
Anyway, I thought Sevilla looked solid throughout the entire match. However, I didn't expect such a lopsided score, more like 1-0 or 2-1.
Spain continues to show why they're the dominant country. The CL final might prove a different story, though.

That Sevilla-Barcelona match was re-scheduled to today, which is now over.
Barça is now free to concentrate solely on the CL final, as their match against Athletic is now virtually meaningless.

that match was of crucial importance to sevilla... what C teams????
and the match in bilbao might be a very important one... it could be the spanish presentation of the UEFA Champions League trophy;)
or the match who decides the "away champions" for spain; Barca - 34p, Real -33p, Valencia 32 p (i think...anyway, it's close). all three play away:D :D
