Aargh !!
One of the biggest soccer matches in English soccer history .... and FSC pre-empts Sky Sports News to show a 5 year old Milan match.
Why?
As a prelude to showing One Day Old coverage of Milan losing in the Champions League.
For all ten of those Milan fans in the USA who want to watch 4 hours of Milan starting in late afternoon.
GET A CLUE !
I suppose that is to be expected from a channel that shows an entire year of a weekly show in which the image is stretched from its normal aspect ratio...

A bit of hyperbole here, I think. ;)
I mean... well, since you put in an "R" I can say congratulations, so. . . congratulations and all, but
..."One of the biggest soccer matches in English soccer history"?
Oh, and good luck.

Two four-goal comebacks in two games to reach a European Cup Final ?
Seems unprecedented to me.
BTW, I've been annoyed by the constant pre-empting of Sky Sports News for months, this was just the last straw. They don't even show it later in the evening, like they used to do when it was pre-empted. (Although there is clearly not much I can do about it.)

Pre-empting Sky Sports News to see an old Milan game is a bit ridiculous. I also wanted to catch the reactions and highlights of the Boro match.
There is no way that anything involving the UEFA Cup is one of the biggest matches in English history though. English clubs have played in too many European/Champions League Finals and have won them.

I don't mind adding 2 cents of "What's with all the Milan?"

Here is the strangest part:
Sky Sports News was pre-empted to show a "Milan Classic" from 2001.
Well it turns out that they showed a 2001 match where Milan loses on aggregate and is dumped out of the Champions League ! I kid you not !
So, Milan fans had to watch 4 hours of Milan being dumped out of the Champions League on two different occasions. What "fun" for them.

FSC has a special deal with Milan. GolTV has similar deals with Arsenal and Liverpool.

Right I think we understand this, the question is why are matches that are several years old that end in a poor light for Milan now taking precedence over somewhat live soccer news reports?

Ah common! When a big story occurs its only natural to wanna get the details right away! Waiting until noon the next day definitely sucks (probably even have to wait later since most people are working at noon on Friday).

I agree on the Milan stuff. It's ok once in awhile or as filler or late at night or something, but don't preempt current stuff for another Milan rerun. There's been days where Milan is on for a good chunk of the day in the past, thought the current schedule doesn't look at heavy. I don't really care about Milan, but I've started rooting against them just due to the annoyance of seeing them on so much on FSC.
