Why?
You don't see anything wrong with a country doing something like that because of Israel? You don't think if it was another country in Israel's place, Sweden would participate. I highly doubt it. If it was Poland in Israel's place, Sweden would stay for sure. It's sad that this shit continues in Europe.

Unless Poland was in the middle east and involved in all the shananigans that Israel is involved in.
There is no trace of anti semitism if thats what you're implying.
Plus, have you ever heard of guilt by association? Israel in the middle east is such a sensitive issue, there is no wonder countires want to avoid it....I certainly would, wouldn't you want to avoid possible conflict?

Conflict with whom? With crazy muslim fanatics who would burn Swedish embassy, Arab oil rich countries, swedish citizens,? Britain is participating and they are fighting in Iraq and the biggest ally to US, yet that doesn't seem to matter.
So, in your logic, if Syria or Iran or Lebanon would participate, Sweden should have pulled out as well, since they are a "sensitive issue" in Middle East also?

I think that Sweden is the one missing out. They probably could have learned a thing or two.....
Maybe when Swedish buses and cafes become "legitimate targets", Sweden will ask Israel to blow stuff up with them....
I don't see any reason for Sweden to pull out of the excersises though...but if they choose to pull out thats their problem, nobody will care anyway, who the hell is Sweden when it comes to military. When they have to fight 7 armies simultaneously and alone, then maybe they can talk...

Sweden and Israel are hardly best buddies, and it's not exactly a big secret.

If Israel is invited to join military exercises with the European countries then the Palestnian Authorities, thru Hammas, should also join in.
Asking Israelis to be "peacekeeprs" is like asking the cat to guard the milk.

Two years ago the Israeli ambassador to Sweden vandalized an art exhibition made by former israeli Dror Feiler, who is also Jewish. Ariel Sharon, amongst others, supported the actions of the ambassador and called Dror Feiler an anti-semite. The ambassador later claimed that the swedish media regulary incite people to kill Jews and that Sweden is one of the most anti-semetic countries in the world.
He called Sten Andersson, former swedish foreign minister, and Pierre Shorri, Swedish ambassador to the UN, professional anti-israelis.
He also called the Arch-bishop an probable anti-semite and Anna Lind's, the now deceased foreign minister, criticism of Israeli policies, most notably the wall, intolerable.

Wow, you are a genius, for sure. THe "art" exibit was a symbol of a sucide bomber who cause 12 innocent lives and that exibit was praising her for that slaughter. You don't find anything wrong with that? Oh, you Swedish are better than others, morality doesn't apply to you.
Truth hurts, those ambassadors are who they are, but that doesn't surprise me one bit.

You have no issues with people excersising violence as a way to express their discontent?
Either way. The exhibit wasn't about praising the suicidebomber.
-She's not floating in flowers. She's actually floating in blood, the blood of her victims, as the artists put it.
It's also worth mentioning that the artist is a member of the organisation "Jews for Israeli-Palestinian peace".

Are you suggesting that coutries/people aren't allowed to critizise Israeli Policies without being anti-semetic?

which is a vehement anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian organization...
There is no room for such "art" in today's environment, because it praises those who don't deserve even a slight recognition
