We might as well have a thread for this. After all, it's clearly the tournament of the summer. With the national cup finals, play-offs and injuries we will be seeing some new face, which is good with the next qualifying campaign coming up soon. I should have been there, but bloody exams and all...

No idea, but I would hope so. If not we can hopefully find a stream.

When you say 7:20, do you mean UK time or JP time?

For the two Scotland games, I'll be in Texas anyway, so I'll need to adjust it for Central time.

That bit was a copy and paste from the SFA website. It doesn't specify. Hopefully we will get some Japanese visitors who can clarify that point.

Ahh, cool. As for me, my girlfriend lives out there, so I fly out once a year or so. Going via Atlanta to visit a mate from Greenock, then to Irving, which (as you may well know) is near Dallas. Driving out with the burd to California after that, it'll be rare (except I'm going to miss the last 1/3 (depending if we qualify) games of the playoffs  )

It's Japan time, 8 hours ahead of us.

Anyway so this will be the list of missing players:

Fletcher
McNamara
Ferguson
Hartley
Pressley
Webster
O'Conner
Gordon
Alexander
Dailly

Plus Riordan, Thomson, Brown of Hibs not included for some reason. There's a whole friggin team missing!

The midfield looks awful without Hartley, Fletch and Ferguson, at least Naysmith is back in defence both those muppet Caldwell bros. better no play. The attack looks damn good though :).

Is Ferguson definitley out? I'm sure I saw in the paper that he might be back in time.

Wonder how we'll line up in the middle, then. Quashie? Burke? Who will marshall the centre?

Ferguson's having surgery and will be out until August. Fletch might be back, lets hope he is! If he's not we have no midfield...

Zico to rest Europe-based stars for home friendlies

Japans Brazilian coach Zico hinted to reporters that he would be resting his Europe-based stars for the two upcoming friendlies at home.

Speaking to the local press, Zico indicated that none of the stars playing abroad would figure against Bulgaria (Osaka, May 9) and Scotland (Saitama, May 13) and even the training camp in Fukushima from May 17.

Now it will be difficult for them (to join the two friendlies),Esaid Zico. I want to give them some rest so the training camp might not be full strength from the first day on.E

The match against Scotland in Saitama is Japans last on home soil.

4am Scottish time is 10pm central US time, so I'll be able to catch the games if I can find a broadcast. Cheers :)

I already explained this

I have no idea where you get 4 am from, unless the games actually kick-off at midday Japan time...
