What a pathetic list. How could you include three Leones among the top 6? He's lucky to get one among the top 100.
"Young Guns"????
This is effing ridiculous.
Where's Boeticher?
Or Fuller?
Or Ray?
Or Walsh?
Or Hawks?
High Noon = wimp shit.
Magnificent Seven = lazy shit.
Shane = overindulgence shit.
Now that I think about it, Ford alone had at least a dozen films better than the ten you listed.

Gringo, shouldn't you be going link-for-link with the kiddies in Politics to no effect?
(Auria squints at monitor) Eastwood is the God of Westerns. Don't hate on Leone for going along for the ride.
Westerns ain't moviesnob fare anyhow, but feel free to don your black turtleneck and make your own list.
I thought the list needed a recent film, and Young Guns is a fine choice. The Magnificent Seven was just that, and Shane gets the nod for its family-friendly vibe.
So there. Nyah.

Good list, but I think you have to find room for "The Wild Bunch", Sam Peckinpah's classic.
