Intertoto: Yay or Nay?

Okay we could end up being the highest placed team outside the UEFA cup places which would give us entry to the Intertoto Cup. The season would start on the 15th of July for us but the amount of places avaliable in the UEFA cup from the Intertoto has been increased, plus the top European countries have been given easier runs in the cup.

I say yes, entry would be good. We would get a few more televised games when no-one else is playing. More European experience (which can only be good for our coefficient) and we get to have some new faces play easy yet competetive games.

Personally if Arsenal were in the same spot Id sooner tey didn't play games that are going to potentially tire players for something more tangeble such as one of the domestic cups.

Who won the Intertoto in 2004. No I don't know either :)

Yes, if we have a bigger more capable squad and Sam will use some of the better youngsters.I believe the first team players got tired towards the end of the season having played UEFA, Carling, FA Cup and league games, and the the African players having played away.
