This is an article from the Toronto Star's Sports Media writer Chris Zelkovich from earlier this month which I didn't see posted:

When Canadian television thrust itself into the digital world in 2001, one of the early stars was Fox Sports World Canada.

Providing live sports to viewers who were underserved, mainly soccer and rugby fans, it established itself as the most-watched sports digital by far.

The future of digital soccer channels in Canada appears to be in the hands of TeleLatino Network, not Canwest Global.

TeleLatino already has 2 CRTC licences approved, and has applied for 2 more.

Approved without any intervention filed by anyone in Canada:

"RCS Television" = Setanta Sports Canada
"Soccer Television" = --- Soccer ------- Canada

Pending approval (no interventions filed or expected to be filed):

"Spanish Sports TV 1" = ESPN Deportes Canada
"Spanish Sports TV 2" = FOX Sports en Espanol Canada

--

You should have no trouble figuring out what TeleLatino has up its sleeve for "Soccer Television".

Nothing in this article that hasn't been posted here in the last three or four months.

Pretty poor though when the National Media starts commenting on how crap the station is......

Yeah, I've read this elsewhere aswell. I was especially love the part where the person states that they wish to make the channel as robust as possible. Then within the same article, the statistics show exactly why they've lost viewers.
