Hey, it's quiet in here, so I just wanna give you guys some props for bringing it loud and hard yesterday. Between the rain and the pounding, by the end of the match, La Bomba looked like it's gonna need new skins.

It also looked like the yellow-jacketed goons were singling you guys out at the beginning; bunch of pricks, they were.

I totally agree.

You also gotta laugh - the ESC/101/whatever are trying to take credit for the drums heard on the live coverage: I think we all know who that really was. :D

Yeah, that's pretty rich, though symptomatic of their delusions of grandeur! Actually, from time to time I heard a drum (on the tape) that doesn't belong to the Barra or La Norte. I forget the name but it's a rich, deep samba bass.

Occasional beats, however hardly justifies a domination claim from them. Reminds me of their claims at out-cheering RFK crowd. Good on 'em. They're gonna need lots of self-confidence to survive the season.

Gabriel and the other drummers brought it consistently well on Sat night, and there was no mistake on the tape that our drums were well-heard.

Thanks guys

I watched the game on Tivo yesterday (since I was there)

Ya, they kept showing the ECS, but damn it sounded like the game was at RFK and they did finally start showing those of us that made the trip

Props to everyone that made the trip

Thanks... Props to the other drummers too though... You guys brought it just as hard... As well as BB and SE. Our bombo was in fact new, but we didn't get a chance to "fine tune it." Thanks to the rain... By the time we had a chance too, it was already soaked. I'm glad it made its debut on Saturday though, on the heels of a 4-1 whooping.

Yeah that's what I heard, some of us weren't there yet because of our bus being late so when we were first coming in, we thought one of our boys was waiting for us so he could go in at the same time, banging the drum and all of that. His face said it all though, he had been kicked out and had no idea why... and still doesn't. At the rest stop later that evening he said that they had him handcuffed in the office until the game ended. They wouldn't tell him why he got kicked out. Gave him no reason at all. Bastards.
