America VS Chivas USA... 7/23/06

I dont have a link for this but I read it in the L.A. Times this morning and it looks like America will be playing against Chivas USA on July 23 at da Home Depot Center... Game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Theres still no word on wether the America stars will come for that game but it would almost for sure be sold out !!!!

what exactly is the point of this game? I could see them playing in the us against non MFL teams if they were big clubs, like the Manchester United game a few years back (that was the game you should have gone to Rey, great atmosphere and very even first half of play). There is no point to this game though. With the win of the CONCACAF, why dont they schedule some bigger clubs, to get accostomed to the different styles played that they will face in Japan
