I'm not sure of any numbers, but the issue was never Hispanics or Latinos, but instead Mexicans.

If you consider MSA, rather than just city:
Chicago--Gary--Kenosha, IL--IN--WI CMSA: 1,498,507
Houston--Galveston--Brazoria, TX CMSA: 1,348,588

It's just a matter of defining your universe. Either way, I'd say that they're pretty comparable.

There aren't any exclamation marks so I can't tell if I'm supposed to be excited by this or not.

From 2000 US Census: MEXICAN
Chicago--Gary--Kenosha, IL--IN--WI CMSA: 1,121,089
Houston--Galveston--Brazoria, TX CMSA: 985,197

And, in case you were wondering about the 2004 estimate...

Chicago, IL PMSA; Chicago--Gary--Kenosha, IL--IN--WI CMSA
*Hispanic: 1,623,313
*Mexican: 1,271,710

Houston, TX PMSA; Houston--Galveston--Brazoria, TX CMSA
*Hispanic: 1,501,838
*Mexican: 1,198,088

Chicago city, Illinois
*Hispanic: 745,818
*Mexican: 546,149

Houston city, Texas
*Hispanic: 830,406
*Mexican: 674,530

So, again, if you stay within the city limits, the numbers are different than if you look to metropolitan area.

Hispanic are the majority allready in Houston.

I don't think that is true quite yet. They are the largest minority but are not quite the majority even inside the Houston city limits.

Hispanic are the majority allready in Houston.
According to the 2004 MSA estimate the Hispanic population of Houston PMSA is almost right damn on 33% (http://factfinder.census.gov/servlet/DTTable?_bm=y&-context=dt&-ds_name=ACS_2004_EST_G00_&-CONTEXT=dt&-mt_name=ACS_2004_EST_G2000_B03001&-tree_id=304&-redoLog=false&-all_geo_types=N&-_caller=geoselect&-geo_id=38500US16021600&-geo_id=38500US33623360&-search_results=16000US1714000&-format=&-_lang=en).

That's not really relevant to the point you've been trying to make on other threads, though. You've been claiming that it would be CRAZY for CA to start up an CAMLS team in Chicago because "There's way more mexican in Houston!"

You happen to be wrong on that.

That link says that the Hispanic population of Houston is 33% not 50%.

4.5 million total, 3 million non-Hispanic, 1.5 million Hispanic.

If you're interested in population data, including projections, for Hispanics and others in Harris County, the Houston MSA, etc., then check out the site of Texas State Data Center and Office of the State Demographer (http://txsdc.utsa.edu/) -- it's fairly easy to navigate and chock full of demographic projection goodness.
