That would be cool, but only for you high-speed folks I would think. Then again, if I could watch DCU on the web, I would probably become one of you high-speed folks.
Yes. It is very good.
Here's a demo (http://www.digicastcorp.tv/2site/demo/USLsoccer.htm).

I think there are a lot of reasons to be pessimistic!!
First of all, what are our chances to score in Chicago?? Without Moreno to push into penalty area we have no chance to score what so ever, IMHO.Without a midfield able to carry the ball and play the ball in Chicago's penalty area, our forwards have no support. If we are dumping the ball without any combination or any strategy, playing the "HAZARD" style,we are going to have no shots on goal.Without a decent midfield we are not going to score!!!...
Here is our problem:this coach can bring any midfield formula, the result will be the same,we lose.
Why I would say that??Because the professional level of our midfielders is submediocre,at the best!
Do anyone agree with me that our midfield performance is horrible???The scary part is the fact that there is nothing the coach can do, to change it, at this point. The logic conclusion is : We are gonna keep loosing games until the season will be over.
I do not believe that bringing Gazza,a 35 years player out of competitive shape will change the faith of our team.Neither Eliseo nor Gazza will make a difference in our team's performance as long as we are playing with the same submediocre midfielders.
The level of soccer played, at this time, in MLS is a professional, competitive one.I just cannot see how two players will be able to make a difference when the whole midfield sucks. We will see if I am right.....

Do you actually watch any of these games or just close your eyes, throw ************ at your keyboard and see what sticks? Our midfield keeps creating chances, even your favorite player Bobby "A-League" Convey, but our lack of healthy and/or talented forwards can't do crap with these chances.

Wow, that is nice. I would love to see DCU doing that sometime. I would however have to upgrade to high-speed. I tried it on my dial-up connection, and the audio was choppy to put it nicely, and I didn't even get any video!
In other news, it looks like Nowak is injured for the game tomorrow. He bugs me. Good player, but he bugs me.

It's the only possible explanation.

Maybe we can pull out another 0-0 draw!
It's sad that the prospect excites me.
I just hope we don't try the damn 4-5-1 with Ali Curtis as the trigger man again. Anything but that. If we're going with the 4-5-1, at least put Eddie Pope up front!

If we go with 1 up top it will be Q2!!

i wonder is Q2 can really do much as a lone frontrunner. while he is a clever little player with some great touch, he is unlikely to win many balls up front and i am sorry to say, the speed he showed last week isn't enough to get behind defenders. to my mind--understanding i have seen him once for United and once for his national side, so this isn't based on much--he seems much better suited for either pairing with a quicker or bigger guy or and perhaps best, playing in a more withdrawn forward role.
not that i wouldn't love to see him prove me wrong and operate up front effectively.

Just because we call him Q2 doesn't mean that he can do the work of two men.
Also, I choose to believe that Eliseo is the Spanish form of the name Elvis. So, I choose to call him Elvis.
Thank you very much.

On dcunited.com it looks like they are going w/ a
4-4-2 with Villegas and Reyes staying home and Chino and Namoff taking there place. They are still going with Lassiter and Q2 up front. i guess Convey didn't go with the U-20 team cause he's in the lineup. Well i hope we can get a point out of this.

This is the projected lineup from www.dcunited.com
D.C. United- Nick Rimando; Bryan Namoff, Ryan Nelsen, Brandon Prideaux, Ivan McKinley; Chino Alegria, Richie Williams, Marco Etcheverry, Bobby Convey; Roy Lassiter, Eliseo Quintanilla.
That scares me to no end...

Is it just me or is this team seriously cursed?
It's bad enough we lose the only players capable of scaring the opposition (Q1 and Moreno), but to pile on the endless string of niggling injuries (Villegas and Reyes out of the match) just makes for a ridiculous string of luck..
These factors more than anything else should tell you how fortunate we were to have a relatively healthy team from 96' to 99' as it has been a disaster health wise since then..
Also of note, does anyone else think the guy who covers United for the website (John Koluder) just doesn't know much about soccer?
At what point last Saturday was United in a 4-4-2 formation as he claimed? Why does he speculate in leaving Eddie Pope out of the starting lineup although he has been in full training so far this week? He just seems a little clueless at times for a guy who is the main contributor of information for the club website...

I'm going with 'Nilla.
We can throw those nilla cookies on the field when he scores.
Goff has this line-up:
Rimando
Nelson--Prideaux--Pope--McKinley
Lazy---Richie--Etch--Bobby
Nilla----Curtis
I'd expect to see Ben come in.
Chino, Roy, and Namoff are the other options off the bench.--Guh.--

Nilla Wafers, huh? God, my kid loves those things.
I'll follow the Nilla trend, though Q2 is much easier to type.
Now, how to go about getting those delicious little cookies into the stadium without having them confiscated, or turning into a big blue muppet and insanely devouring them, while most of the crumbs fall wastefully to the ground.....
