Don't like polls, don't like popularity contests, and definitely hate publicity.

For one critic there are several supporters and that's the story.

As someone on the other boards stated, in rivalries you win some and lose some.

Though if someone likes to show off, that's fine. To err their own.

So, let them create polls.

Cheers!

I just bought a piece of black forest cheesecake at the local grocery...opened it up, and it has mold on it. EW! It's going back.

However, the thai peanut stir fry I made turned out excellent. Yum!

I'm doing my best to keep things in moderation...I just need the semester to start so I can get back in the gym.

Not my thing but like I say, the only real rivalry is with Los Angeles. I really don't care for any of the other teams.

The funny thing is that most of the Los Angeles fans I've met were very nice, ditto for some of the Crew, DC United, and Metros fans--it's the supporters from the other teams that tend to be obnoxious...

In the past it was really bad with the Galaxy fans, but when they lost, as much as I can't stand their team, you have to feel for their fans for losing...

There were a couple of Fire fans that I chatted with and they are cool people. It's the ones who like to yak it up and then if you meet them they are the same jerks that I can't stand. Ironically, a few of the fans that like to talk up the smack met up for the World Cup and from what I heard nothing prevalent of their travails online were equally tense when they cheered for the USA.

So, usually it would be the ones that are there that would get something of that title.

Though, if he was in the secret room, there were lots of supersecret messages capping on those types. Fortunately, it was lost in the purge so no one except the chosen few knows.

Cheers!

Anh is sick of Baby Boomers. Doesn't care about Ed Sullivan Show or the 60s. Or hippies.

Anh likes clubbing.

Stan is a college student living in the Lone Star State.

Now, Anh sounds like a true Quakes trooper.

Normally the polls would be reserved for Richter Boy and Quaker Kid but it looks like they've become more revered.

Again, polls don't mean a thing.

.

SwissGCZ is Stan, he can't score with anyone, and he sucks. He's a ********ing prick.

I can't believe the Crew lost to Colorado. I wanna be still going strong at 41 like Valderrama.

I had to spend my summer playing softball...which I sucked at until I figured out I was supposed to be left handed, like my dad. Which was just a couple of years ago. Same with golf.

Rats...church is in an hour. I need to go shower and put on some halfway decent clothes.

Everybody drool!

kidding--actually haven't been checking too much on the Crew. The stadium is still one of the best in the US, but once LA starts getting theirs that stadium will be the jewel.

I've been itching to get back to Columbus, but with a few people (non-soccer fan and a couple of others who used to follow the Crew) coming along. However, my relationship with one of them (non-soccer fan) is very precarious and the others don't want to go.

So it's like Sacramento, but still it's a nice place to hang out despite having to improvising a few things to do there.

I don't know what is there to do in Providence or Boston. I have the miles to travel--the question is do I have enough money to cover for hotel, expenses, and maybe a rent a car. I'm spent.

Otherwise I would have to move, spend a year in residency in order to qualify for the lower tuition rate.

Brak is cool--enough said. Though, Zorak is a much better foil.

Brack is the lovable oaf everyone knows, while his former villainous self in the old show he was called "Brock"

Zorak never changed, and Moltar is a doof.

Compare watching the old and new Space Ghost and it's very surreal--ditto for Sealab 2021.

How would Coach McGerk of Home Movies handle the Quakes? Like Lothar.

[QUOTE] It's based on The Scream by Vincent Van Gough. QUOTE]

As an Art History major, this kind of ignorance will not be tolerated. The Scream, painted with tempera and casein on cardboard, was created by EDVARD MUNCH. And for you universally challenged, that isn't Munch as in munching on some chips. I mean come on, anyone could see the difference between the two artists. At least you got the Dali painting right but then again anyone could do that.

Hmmm...as a Norwegian-American, I'm surprised I didn't pick up on this one. I can't even find it now.

Today is the last lecture I have to give on American history for the summer. Yee-haw! an hour of lecture and then pop in the tape of Woodstock. I am ready for a couple weeks' break. The final is Wednesday...everything will be graded and done by Friday, and I can then concentrate on cleaning my apartment after leaving my husband basically alone in it for most of the summer. It is a horrid mess. I also have to start preparing for fall. I'm reading Our Lady of Guadalupe: Faith and Empowerment among Mexican-American Women by Jeanette Rodriguez right now--interesting book. Also books on Abbe Lionel Groulx and the Action Francaise in Quebec and their attitudes toward the French language. I love to read but this has become a major chore. I don't even know what other books I will be required to read this fall for Native American history and Historical method and French conversation. My shelf will probably be full to bursting again. Probably a good thing I've decided to get out of academia, despite everyone's hopes for my success, and go on to a simpler lifestyle in the pastorate.

Elvis died 25 years ago. I remember when he died. My mom was a big fan despite not being allowed to watch him on TV as a kid.

To all my new friends in the Bay Area---stay away from the Golden Gate Bridge. There is apparently a threat against it and law enforcement is crawling all over the place, making the drive slow. And I'd hate to hear that any of you were stuck there.

However, it seems also that al Qaeda likes to play with our heads by issuing threats just to see us scramble. Who knows.

Lisa Marie Presley and Nicholas Cage? eeewwwww. I guess he's better than Michael Jackson but still...

Apparently you haven't seen what happens to all those Japanese (Korean, Chinese, Singaporean, etc.) kids who stoke away the Big Macs and reject the native stuff.
