She is such a hypocrite (http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headline/metro/3797614.html)

A ferry service has been at the location since Nathaniel Lynch launched the Lynch's Ferry on the San Jacinto River in 1822. The county took over the service in 1890.

Lynch's Ferry also figured in the birth of Texas.

In what came to be known as the "Runaway Scrape," as many as 5,000 Texans fled eastward to escape the advancing army of Mexican Gen. Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna in April 1836.

For many, the escape culminated with a trip on the ferry.

Days later, Gen. Sam Houston's army defeated Santa Anna at San Jacinto and won Texas' independence from Mexico.

"We're trying to get (the ferry) put on the National Register of Historic Places. We'll be doing more to promote that area's place in Texas' history," Garcia said.
