Here's how we have played against Watford, Palace, and Preston.

Watford 0-0 Leeds
Leeds 2-1 Watford

Palace 1-2 Leeds
Leeds 0-1 Palace

Leeds 0-0 Preston
Preston - Leeds (4/30)

Current Table
Watford - 74 points
Leeds - 74 points
Preston - 73 points
Palace - 71 points

All three other teams are playing games at this moment so this will change soon. As it stands now, we will face Preston in the first round which I find to be a pretty good match. I personally think that Preston and Watford don't have enough to go up; I like either us or Palace.

Here's the latest table:

Watford - 77 points
Preston - 76 points
Leeds - 75 points
Palace - 72 points

We are playing Crewe at Elland Road this Saturday who have been relegated to League 1. I will be concerned with anything less than a victory.

Theoretically we still control our own destiny in terms of having a higher seed in the playoffs. We beat Crewe and then beat Preston and we will be guaranteed either a 3 or 4 seed which means we would play the return leg in the 1st round of the playoffs at home.

Obviously, looking at the the point totals, the four teams in the playoffs are all very similar in talent level. I can't really think of any of those teams that Leeds would really want to face over any of the others.

Frankly, as long as we finish 3rd or 4th, that's fine with me.

The teams that have finished 6th have gone up the last two seasons, maybe it would be better for leeds to finish 6th.

Up to date standings:

Watford - 80 points
Leeds - 78 points
Preston - 77 points
Palace - 75 points

Next week's schedule:
Leeds @ Preston
Palace @ Sheff Utd
Hull @ Watford

I'd say you would have to expect Watford to at least get a point off of Hull at home. Therefore third place is probably out of reach. The only way Palace can leap-frog Preston is if we beat Preston and Palace beat Sheff Utd.

So basically the game next Sunday against Preston is to determine where we play in the first and second legs of the playoffs. All we have to do is get a draw and we have the advantage.

I'm a Leeds United fan, but we need to hit form again if we stand a chance in the play-offs.

Hard to call played Reading off the park and same at Sheff Utd second half so coming back to some form. Todays reserves v PNE game didn't tell us much. Worrying to see Nugent back though. Hope Blackwell's masterplan comes off but would still have prefered second leg at Elland Road.
