FIFA?
Yep.
As for an update I sit currently top of the table and lead Arsenal by 14 points as I just hammered them 6-0 at the Emirates. Finished top of my group in the ECC as I beat Ajax 3-2 away and topped Torino 5-3 away.

In my third year with the Toon, Manchester United are a point away from being relegated :D
For some reason, the previous season they sold Rooney to Chelsea. Morons.

It's pretty weird. Arsenal have Lehmann on the bench for Alumnia and Chelsea sit in 14th place. And Watford has been in the top 4 the last 2 years.

Tried, but I only had 23m in the budget, and apparently that wasn't enough.
Had to start over because my damn memory card corrupted. At least it was only one season.

ahh I see. I haven't bought Fifa 07 yet, is it worth it?
That happened to me in Madden. 3 seasons in on All-Madden I was 12-1 and had played at least 30 games over the course of 3 seasons, including all 13 in season 3. God that sucked. I still hardly play madden.

You can get it for about 30 bucks, so for me it's worth it. The transfer market is far more realistic than in 05. Can't speak for 06, never played it - I only get EA sports franchise games every-other edition. You have morale, fatigue, questions to answer in the media from time to time, statements to make, sponsorship deals, a real budget including salaries and whatnot. That's just in manager mode.

Son of a bitch.
After routing Arsenal 6-0 at Emirates we travelled to 14th place Chelsea. We went up 4-1 at the half thanks to a Michael Owen hat trick in the first 35 minutes. We ended up losing 5-4 in an absolute debacle that had Frank Lampard score from 2 fk's and saw Steven Tatlor and Emre in the dressing room early. And I was just about to complain that the game got too easy.

30 isn't bad at all. For a college student though, thats quite a lot of money!
I have to get this game soon though.. winning eleven just isn't doing it for me anymore

The scouting system and academy aspects are basic but interesting as well. The only thing I don't like about the game, really, is that there appears to be an arbitrary number of bids you can make between games in the transfer window, including transfer listing your own players for sale or loan. So basically if you say you want Huntington, N'Zogbia and Krul to go out on loan, and you only have three bids that gameweek, you can't bid on anyone if you list all three players. Not saying you should be able to do unlimited because that's unrealistic, but it kind of cramps you in that way. Though I suppose it's a better test of one's managerial skills that way.
Just destroyed Villa 4-1 to go top. Solano on a FK, Martins (2) and Milner.

Whenever I play that game it is always so high scoring. That is my only complaint. However, I've only played it a number of times so I can't really tell if it is always like that.

Yea, the bids thing is bollocks. I also hate the unrealistic thinking. Like the fans wanting Rooney when we have Oba and Owen at 30 goals apiece in the league.
What level are you playing on Dave? When my games became too high scoring I went to World Class but they are still really high scoring.

Have you tried changing the speed of the clock to make the games go faster?
I play on World Class - 4 min.

Wow, totally forgot about that.
How is that working out? How much does it affect the game?

Games go by quicker, but you get used to it. Plus you get more games in...like three in one hour (or less).
It does make the scores more realistic though. Occasionally you still get the huge blowouts, which is good.
