Although Pards is saying he'll play his strongest team, both clubs have got their sights on next Sunday's game, Ethers is doubtful due to a calf injury, Anton has been ruled out, and Gabbs has a small back problem, why chance it? Walker should be in goal, there's no coverage in NZ, sod it!

I wonder if ferdinand will be back for the clash on the 23rd?

A win on the road is something positive we can use. I'm sure players will fight hard once it begins.

Good luck Hammers....Hammer 'em

He's out with a hip injury for the Boro game, and is also in doubt for next Sundays match.:(

Century FM cover most if not all the Boro games. Here's a link to listen to it for anyone who wants to give it a go. It requires a registration although I haven't actually tried this yet:

I can't see either side caring much about this game really. The priority is probably to prevent any injuries before the cup clash, or in Boro's case both cup clashes.

I think AP's intentions to avoid injuries are clear from the starting lineup i.e. missing Ethers out as he seems to be targeted quite often, and just look at the bench:

Not a single defender there. Simply getting through this game unscathed will please me.

Does either team actually want this game. Damn close from Harewood!!

How many times have we let in a goal right at halftime? It seems to happen regularly! But we need Anton Ferdinand back for the semifinal; the defence is still not solid enough, in my opinion. I'd play him at right back if necessary; Scaloni works hard, but I don't think he's the best in that position.

Penalty! 2-0; not good enough.

Looks like they want it, although we were slightly dominant for a while. Two-nil.

Didn't get to see the match. Sounds like we fielded the 2nd tier lineup to keep us fresh for the FA Cup match. We'll see if it pays off. With that said, Yaniv Katan got his first "real" minutes with West Ham--how did he perform?

But Mullins gets better every game. He might even be my player of the season, even tho I thought he was crap last August
