You're smoking crack. Please tell me how these numbers have diminished for a man turning 35 this summer!

Zizou might get a bit upset at that, being how he will only be 34 in June :)

Yes, my bad. I knew he was born in 72, but couldn't remember when..... The guy could play 5 more years, but what for? Why not leave after the world cup instead of ending up playing for.......Middlesboro (that's for you Ganu), or a mediocre team of the likes. Why slip into mediocrity.

another story saying he will announce his decision tomorow.
it says the reasonhe will give is he no longer has his enthusiasm for soccer, and has been plagued by niggling injuries the last 12 months. its a shame

still i want one good world cup out of him!

Was just interviewed on Canal+

Hopefully someone will load it up...

i have seen him play in person 6 times (4 matches, 2 training) and i can safely say i will not see a better player in my lifetime, despite being in my teens. i feel privaliged.
i remember 3 of the trips well. the 2nd time i went real beat espanyol 4-0. the first goal was from zidane, a peach. he received a long pass from becks, great control (obv) and ran at the box, skinned a player before smashing it in with his left peg top corner. the then dazzled us in the stadium before being withdrawn due to injury after 60 mins.
the next was this season. we were losing 1-0 to osasuna. zizou was sub. he came on, completely changed the game, and we got the draw, from a zidane assist
after the osasuna trip, i realised, shite, that could be the last time i watch zidane train or play if he retires. so i thought ******** this. im going again. so 2 months later i was back in madrid, breaking the bank, basically to watch him play as i thought he could retire. and i wasnt to be disappointed. 2 goals, an exhibition from the guy and a moment i will never forget.
twice i have seen him train. and ********in hell, is that special. only then do you realise the quality for sure imo. in amatch you get used to there being good players, used to seeing great players. but in training, it seems more like reality, more like watching ordinary people. this is when it hits you how good he is. every time i have seen him, he has been past what i consider to be his 'peak', so blimey, id have loved to have seen his peak.

This guy is a true footballing legend. and if i could id be out there to watch vs Villarreal. so palermo or any other madrid based person, be there that night. the opportunity cant be passed.

im sorry for those who have never seen him in person. its an experience and a half, really is.

Finally, will he have a testimonial, or golden handshake i think its called. cos if that dont clash with my summer hols in ibiza and crete then i will be there no doubt.

i feel like retiring from watching the game :D

the last opporuntities to see him play a competitive game are now: (a maximum of 13 games :( )

1 v Racing (03/05/06)
2 v Villarreal (07/05/06)
3 v Sevilla (14/05/06)
4 v MEXIQUE (27 mai 2006)
5 v DANEMARK (31 mai 2006)
6 v CHINE (07 juin 2006)
7 v SUISSE (13 juin 2006)
8 v COREE DU SUD (18 juin 2006)
9 v TOGO (23 juin 2006)
10 World Cup 2nd Round (24-27 June)
11 World Cup Quarter Finals (30 June-1st July)
12 World Cup Semi Finals (4-5 July)
13 World Cup Final (9 July)

Like to see the movie; http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/05/29/sports/zidane.php

Hate seeing this kind of article on him; http://www.eurosport.com/football/world-cup1/2006/sport_sto895665.shtml

But it's happened to plenty of others.

---------

Hope against all hope, he helped bring France a World Cup, they richly deserved probably during Platini's era.
