german squad and their potential
1.lehmann- hass reached his peak,
2.kahn -detoreriating
3.hildebrand-no offence but i think this guy won't make it big ik kahn and lehmann
4. hinkel-has improved since trappoton was sacked and he is the best right back in germany at the moment. he will be one of the best in erope in future
5. huth-media propagnda have made him look bad. he s one of those players with brightet future if he leaves chelsea. he is fast and strong. weakness is when he plays along mertersacker. mertersacker cant run and leaves huth marking 2 players
6. metzelder-sorry but he wont make it big. his marking is comical and that is why he is a benchwarmer, he mark space -especially the goal lin
7. friedrich-he is good but completely lacks pace and that is not good for today's modern fast-paced game
8. ballack-he has talent but does not use it well. he likes going it alone and he is a bit self centered
9.podolski-he will be great if he finds a good club
10.frings-he is usually played out of his favoured position.

1.lehmann- hass reached his peak,
Agree with you on this one.
2.kahn -detoreriating
Not really. Form is temporary, but class is permanent. He still has 2 years of quality keeping left in him, I feel.
3.hildebrand-no offence but i think this guy won't make it big ik kahn and lehmann
He has record for maximum consecutive minutes of clean sheet in bundesliga. I think, he'll only get better.
4. hinkel-has improved since trappoton was sacked and he is the best right back in germany at the moment. he will be one of the best in erope in future
I have hardly seen him play. He's an average player. He makes up the numbers.
5. huth-media propagnda have made him look bad. he s one of those players with brightet future if he leaves chelsea. he is fast and strong. weakness is when he plays along mertersacker. mertersacker cant run and leaves huth marking 2 players
Huth fast? Yes, if you are comparing him to snails and turtles. Otherwise he's all brawn, no skill type of a player.
6. metzelder-sorry but he wont make it big. his marking is comical and that is why he is a benchwarmer, he mark space -especially the goal lin
I like Metzelder. He is not to be blamed for all the goals conceeded. If the two wingbacks underperform, it leaves Metzelder, along with the other slow centre back to defend. Thats what happened in the Italy game. Italy countered very well when, Friedrich was out of position.
7. friedrich-he is good but completely lacks pace and that is not good for today's modern fast-paced game
The only thing Frierich has is pace. Other than that, I dont see much in him.
8. ballack-he has talent but does not use it well. he likes going it alone and he is a bit self centered
He's the best mid fielder in the world currently. He even looks good. :p
But now that he's going to Chelsea, I think i'll find him less atractive.
9.podolski-he will be great if he finds a good club
He will be great regardless of where he plays. But he should play support striker.
10.frings-he is usually played out of his favoured position.

Pretty much agree with Poorvi.
Klose: Had a great season and hit the best form of his career, couldn't ask more of a German striker right before the World Cup. He has proven himself at club level domestically and in European competition and at the International stage as well. A lot is definetely resting on him this summer.
Borrowski: Another outstanding Germany player this season, great utility man that really hit his peak this year with Bremen, much like Klose. He has the skill and vision to make things happen from midfield and even score a couple.
Lahm: if you've been following his last couple of games, you'd be excited. Despite bayern's poor form, this guy has stepped up and has everything it takes to become the best in the world at his position. Skillful, full of pace and packs a few surprises here and there.

Vertical Horizon,
Ok dude, I am not gonna flame you and keep it football.
I also agree with Poorvi for the most part.
However I think Hinkel is quite talented. He is fast, can dribble, good technique..problem is he has not regained his form of a few years ago when he is great. Sucks because the player he was a few years ago would have been starting over A. Friedrich.
As for Friedrich, he is not slow at all, he is pretty damn quick actually. Problem is he is not agressive enough. He needs to take on defenders more. He never does this...always stops and looks to pass back.
Huth is slow as hell. NOt as bad as Mertesacker but still quite sluggish.
Metzelder is class. If he is fit, he is world class cb, without a doubt. Tall, fast, athletic, intelligent and confident.

Hinkel definetely has the potential and ability. If anyone remembers Stuttgarts CL run 2-3 seasons ago and the Chelsea games in particular, Hinkel ran rampant up that right hand side of the pitch. Chelsea was lucky to go through against Stuttgart that year.
I haven't been able to recognize that Hinkel this season however, but it is there.

Agree. Hinkel is a quality player. The combination of Hinkel, Hleb, Tiffert and Kuranyi has demonstrated some of the best Stuttgart football played in Bundesliga.

Huth slow! next week hope mourinho gives the guy a game . but he is sluggish i agreeee but has potential coz it is extremely hard to beat him 1-1.
metzelder-i agree with what you have said except the part that says he is intelligent.-he literally marks spaces or tries to be the last man behind the goalkeeper. if he changes that he may become great , there is no doubt about that. ask yourself why is he a sub? itsd not about fitness issue. it is just a simple thing marking

but i wonder why you people hate huth. german media does not like him at all. just listen to bbc and other media when they analyze the player

Him becoming useless, I don't know. With Ballack going, and Scholl retiring, Bayern could surely use another attack minded player. Plus he is young, got pace, and can also play out and out striker.
I don't hate Huth. Why should I? I have nothing personal in this.I do not have much of an opinion on Huth, mainly becuase I havent seen him play that much. The only time was in confederations cup against Brazil and in the recent freindly against Italy. Against Brazil he was too slow, and threw 'the bull' Adriano away like how an angry kid throws her doll. Against italy Huth was pathetic.I don't think a bench warmer for Chelsea, who has hardly any playing time this season should be picked over Mertesacker, Metzelder, Woerns ( if he is taken) or Fahrenhorst. Thats my whole take on the Huth issue.

Friedrich also has a good header and is generally ok in defense...the problem with him is sometimes he moves forward too much and we don't have a DM to track back.

the only thing mertersacker has is ball control unlike metzelder and huth who lack ball control

Lahm is doing great. So is Schweini, Rensing and Deisler (ouch, his luck!). I am sure if Poldi joins us, Bayern will take care of him really well.

I have to absolutely agree with you concerning Borowski. He has been very strong for Bremen and is one of the greatest talents the NT has. Unfortunately he hasn't had such a great showing for the NT but I predict that during the WC he will kick some serious ass.
Him, Ballack and Frings will come through during the tournament and take on a very important role for the success of the German NT.
The part that I am most worried about is our defense. Lahm has been playing consistently well, but everybody else (except from the keeper, which is the least of our problems) I'm not sure if they will be up for the task. The total inconsistency of playing really well one time(against France for example) or absolutely horrible another (Italy) is not very comforting....AT ALL!
