*sigh*

What odds on our 5th straight defeat? I'm not usually a betting man but I don't think you'll have a better chance of buying money all season.

Anyone more optimisitc?

I am, providing Allardyce fields the right team...

-------------Jussi
Hunt---Ben Haim-N'Gotty---Gardner
-------------Faye
-------Okocha---Nolan
-Davies----Borgetti---Diouf

Swap Borgetti for Stelios at half time, put Davies in the middle.

Bring Campo on after 70 minutes

Well thats pretty close but this is the one theyre fielding apparently

Campo----Ben Haim-N'Gotty---Gardner
---------Faye---------------Speed-------
------------------Nolan--------------------
---Davies------Borgetti----------Vaz Te

Think hes keeping the bench active for late on and just bolting the hatches with Campo Faye and Speed forming one big defence. Looks like a first half of booting it long and feeing it down the wing, although will be nice to have a few heart attacks with campo back in the squad.

What is goin on, theres been some really wierd player selections and substitutions in recent weeks. I dont think the scores have been so bad but at times it seems like Sams packed in for the season.

Taking Vaz Te and Borgetti off at half time was a shocking decision. It's not like Pedersen and Stelios were going to do any better against Chelsea's defence.

Tal Ben Haim is a complete tit.

5 defeats in a row, West Brom will do us on monday.

The seasons over lads and if our form doesn't pick up we can follow the fine Premiership tradition of all teams that finish a season on a poor run of form; a relegation battle the following season.

Chin up boy. Im looking for a bit of action in the transfer window, that will be the difference between a relegation battle and mid table. But its a damn shame this seasons ended on such a dampener, we should have sealed a few games in the last couple of months, this month i think weve done as you'd have expected.

An unfortunate result after Bolton controlled the 1st half of the game...

Vaz Te was doing o.k. and Borgetti was showing the hustle he lacked earlier in the season. I thought another 30 minutes was in order since they showed some creative spark.

Can anyone tell me how the second half went???

1st yellow was a clear dive, and the second looked like a dive from my seat...

Lost against Boro and Brum?

Anywho, I agree with you there. We're still only 7th after losing 5 on the trot, shows you how much ahead we could/should be

The second half was shit, not even a chance on target.

Borgetti and Vaz Te were having good games all things considered. I still can't get over that Sam took them off and brought on donkey Pedersen

Two sides that if we played them on the opening day of the season people would have called it an even match, unfortunatly for us they were struggling and looking for points and we hit them at a time they had just hit some form. I know what you mean about them being disapointing but to be honest i say it coming.

I have no idea where his faith in pedersen has come from, i dont know if its just him trying to bump the price up incase the rumours are true that theres a couple of potential buyers. Still his sub choices and times are a little off at the mo but then ive always had a problem with his squad selection its just for once hes not proving me wrong :).

This could be a winning lineup that would give Sam a varied attack with balance between long balls, possession / waves, wings & up the middle, long range shots, hustle and creativity....explosion & positioning.

Many Bolton fans believe Borgetti was brought in with the intention of moving to a 4-4-2 during the season. Due to our success this never quite happened. There are problems with it in that we like to pack the midfield and make it difficult for the opposition to play, with 4 there it makes it a lot harder to do. Kevin and Jared is also the Attack With No Pace!(TM) and may struggle to do anything substantial. Davies is much better playing wide than being stuck up front.

Having said that I wouldn't have any problems with us taking that approach against the Baggies tomorrow. We need to do something different, it's just unfortunate in many respects that it's taken this long into the season for us to to have a situation where we need to change something.

I dont think we can really change anything, squads to limited in my mind, think we need to expand the squad or face the consiquences, problem is we probably cant budget for it with the players we currently have on such high wages, and i doubt were going to see a summer with 6 out and 12 in
