4/13/2006 New Layout for Hattrick
Today, we introduce a few changes to the Hattrick design. Our ambition has been to make the site easier to use and more functional, while retaining the essential Hattrick look and feel. In our latest editorial you can read more about the new release.

The long awaited new layout that I've been hearing about is here. I like the new layout and the new pictures for shortcuts. I also like the new look of the medals. I also like them putting all that stuff at the top so we don't just scroll between 2 frozen sections on the site. Good changes. :)

the logos are crisper.

I like that they moved the links that used to be on the bottom to the top. Sometimes due to the frames those links would get lost on systems set to smaller resolutions.

Its a bit busy but overall i like it.

As a software project manager and part-time GUI design aficionado, I think the new layout is a fairly nice improvement overall. My only negative first impression is that the new time/date stamp location, something I spend a lot of time watching during the bidding process, isn't as prominent as it was before. The eye just doesn't track to it as quickly now. It's certainly not a dealbreaker though and I'll probably get used to it.

Thanks!

I like it! All the new logos look neat too. I wish they could've updated the uniforms a bit to go along with it but this is fine. I can't decide whether to have a green or white header...what's everyone going with?

I don't like the Intel logo being on every page...

The thing I like the most is the News Flash still at the top while you are in the Conferences.

Like tom, do NOT like the new clock for exactly the reason he mentioned.

Now waiting on the latest release from Foxtrick to fix all the things lost with the new layout.

Had the same thought. Still having trouble finding it initially. But I like everything locked in at the top, it won't get cut off at the bottom of my screen anymore. Nice improvement in my opinion.

The GMs have been testing this for a few weeks now. Overall I think its a good improvement. The moving of the bottom things to the top is a great change. They do take some getting used to though. I like the new conferences logos. Much nicer than the stupid arrows or letters. Has anyone tried any of the other skins yet?

Do you mean the different color headers?

Nope. 'splain to me how to do it. Just finished my taxes and I'm about to kill off the few remaining brains cells with a brain grenade.
