I frankly don't think it's gonna work that well at the seniour level, not at this point anyway. There are just too many Bundesliga coaches who have no idea wtf they are doing. I don't think the talent level of the youth teams is that much better than the seniour team's though.
We'll have to wait and see just how much a training camp under a semi-capable coach will affect players like Arne Friedrich. I'd be suprised to not see a substantial improvement.

Second match played: 0-0 vs. Czech republic.
They dominated, but sadly didn´t use their chances.
Germany needs at least a draw in the last match
against Serbia & Montenegro, here is the table:
rank country goals points
1. Germany 4-0 4
2. Czech Rep. 2-1 4
3. Serbia & M. 1-2 1
4. Belgium 0-4 1

Germany should beat the Serbs in the next match and will enter the semi with the Czechs.
Spain is the team to beat in the final (May 14).
What a beautiful goal by Fischer.
He really should get a shot by Stuttgart to start in the first team. What a talent.
(but please do something about that hairdo)

I know I know, I must appear quite obsessed but I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would want to look like that.
Wow, Darko Karacic, that's a mighty fine mullet and he looks about 10 years older.
Oh come one, don't tell me you wear one of these mullets that are 'in' now too?!?!

Another impressive showing. I just hope the legions of scouts there will grab some of the boys and drag them to clubs in the big leagues, so they don't end up on the Bayern bench and go to waste.

He currently seems not to be in any of the DFB youth squads. I was puzzled as well he wasn't with the U17 EC team, so i checked at www.dfb.de, the site has a listing of all age groups. Kevin Boateng is listed as U19 player and afaik Jerome last played for that squad as well. No idea why he is not with them anymore.

Jerome Boateng plays for the U19 and not for the U17 .. i dont know why he isnt listed at the dfb site, maybe he is injured ?
hm.. Fischers hairs are just on the one side cutted..perhaps he had an injury and was sewn ? ;)
again in XXL just for TOLH :p

damn, i like to watch them, its a la lot more fun to watch the U17 as the normal Nationalteam.. the U17 dont live just from the Name and the History, they are really really talented.

Well, the U19 age bracket doesn't really have any meaningful tournaments anyway, do they ?
