I'm bored to death by this match I have to admit.

Who impresses you? There needs to be more shots and goals for this match.

Halftime 1-0 Germany

I think the score is fair, Germany got closer to a second (free-kick) than Spain who barely started to create later on. Or actually I suspect our boys were getting tired. So it'll be tough in the 2nd half.

IMHO for most part this seems like an excursion to the world of football clichés...much more still than among the adults Spain is vastly superior technically but Germany plays with near-impeccable collective discipline and grit...no wonder if the Hrubesch generation is in charge of youth development...

Agreed.

Gebhardt impressed me but I'm biased. I've been a Gebhardt fangirl for quite a while. :D

Sukuta-Pasu seems like a clinical finisher but he needs to be more involved. Well, he doesn't really "need" to be but it would be great. Right now he reminds me a bit of Bierhoff style-wise, a bit faster though.

yeah gebhart is good now.

They do look tired though.

Hooray, 2-0

Super-cliché retro Germany rules on set pieces

Our goalkeeper looks alright as well.

2:0 Toprak

2nd assist for Gebhardt. Schweini should take notes on how to take a corner. :D

Smithfan, what did Kohler say about Toprak? I didn't get the quote the commentator talked about.

Edit: Found it

Kohler: Ömer Toprak, 18-years old, plays at Freiburg. For me he's the man of the future, the best junior player that I have seen in the last few years. He has all the tools and is very good for his age already.

Damn, couldn't find a working stream for this. Happy Germany is doing well though, especially against THOSE opponents.

2-1 Germany FT

That totally makes my day, a little revenge it is.:D

Spain was unbeaten in the last 22 matches but they had huge difficulties to create anything against our defensive block.

Gebhart has been tipped as the key of this U19 already, rite before this match.
He played well, not only becoz of the two assists but he's very active and making some nice through passes. We could have made another goal in the last 5 minutes from the counter attack organised by him. Both long passes(set-pieces) and short passes are penetrating n accurate. A real playmaker material.............but i thought he played as winger in the U17 Euro and less effective there.

Sukuta-Pasu is a good finisher. He isn't active at all but everytime he touches the ball, its dangerous.

Spain looked worse than i've thought. Their defense looked disorganised n leaving many spaces for Gebhart and Sukuta-Pasu.

And i forgot to give Latza and Toprak some credit as well, both produced some sound performances.

1) Toprak can still play for Turkey

2) Spain is actually the strongest team in this group consider they already have a number of player like Camacho, Azpilicueta, Aquino, Niguez are already in the rotation of the professional team in various clubs in the La Liga.

Bulgaria is rather weak n for Hungary, how are we gonna deal with Nemeth(Liverpool), the joint top scorer together with M.Fischer in the 2006 U17 Euro, will be the key to win. but they should be easier to handle than the Spanish

3) Gebhart was actually on Klopp's shopping list, n since 1860 Munich is still in the 2BL, lets see if he'll be brought to the 1BL side if he continues to shine. There are many scouts in todays German-Spain match
