Hrubesch is a better footballer than a coach.

Stelike and Elits seem to be the better coaches for the DFB in recent years. Herrlich isn't bad either. But Hrubesch is more conservative in general, n tatcially he isn't outstanding.

Sukuta-Pasu, Gebhart, Bender bros and maybe Kopplin are already the few key players in this team. But still comparing to those 1989ers in the U17EM 2 years ago, this team looks worse on paper.
Consder we had players like M.Fischer, Marin, Schorch(hows the youg man doing in Real Madrid?), Kroos, Vrzogic, A.Neumann n so on in the U17 team back in summer 2006, we dont seem to have youngsters of that calibre in the current U19. Gebhart was never a key player when Marin n Kroos n others were there.

This may be a rerason why i want those really talented youngsters(at this age) to be there instead of the mediocre players who are there just becoz we were borned in 1989. F.Kroos, Tsoumou, Sebastian Polter n Holtby may be two years younger, but they are rated very highly by both the DFB n the media n are all training with the professional teams already. Holtby even produced some good performances in the 2BL.

No one is ready anyway since this is just a tournament for 19 year old or under. So why not taking the risk of choosing more talented but slightly younger prospects? The frontline looks weak at the moment, n i dont think Sukuta-Pasu, Naki n Nsereko are a lot more experienced tbh. They are all similarly inexperienced n "green".

its a DFB policy not to use players from younger U-teams. Marin and Özil are already one of those very few cases in which the DFB does it.
I dont like this either but this is the way things are and it definitly weakens the german U-Teams at tournaments where other countries use their best players without looking at the age.

I can't wait for it to start now! Who do you think will be Germany's best player?

Yea the team could definetley have been stronger but it'll be a great experience for players like the Bender brothers, Kopplin and Co. I just want to see them playing good football, not expecting them to win the tournament. Group isn't exactly easy either anyways.

yea they would have a great team if Germanys best players 19 and under played. This includes Toni kroos, Marko Marin, Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels, Manuel Fischer etc. However, it is good that these players are focusing on their clubs instead.

Boateng and Hummels aren't eligible anymore (born before 1 January 1989).

Fischer apparently wasn't selected because he didn't convince Hrubesch recently? I guess Stuttgart's involvement in the UI Cup has played a role.

M.Fischer was the U17EM golden boot two years ago, and not convincing?
Hrubesch is nuts.............he doesn't suit the role of being a youth coach, unlike Stelike, Elits and Herrlich.
Manuel is one of the few players who have already made thier debut in the 1BL in the current U19, he has scored as well! His experience in the U17 Euro two years ago may make him important, since he is just playing against players in the same age group again. Whereas, most players in the current U19 have never involved in the U17EC in 2006 n U17 WC last summer.

Toni Kroos, Marin are not there for obvious reason, since they're already with the professional team. But i don't seee why players like Vrzogic, Schorch, A.Neumann, Th. Mueller, Bigalke, Huke, R. Lorenz are not there. Their expereince in big tournamnets in the previous U17 Euro and U17 WC may be important to us.

And Kirsten, what's our expected line up? RS Pasu - Fischer?

I noticed you mentioned Fischer several times, he must be good enough to be a starter, no?

He's not even in the squad, look at that link you posted, Stuttgart needs him.

I hope they do well but it's kinda sad that our three best players (Kroos, Marin and Fischer) aren't on the roster but I guess the other teams have the same problem.

Na , Fischer isn't in the squad.

No Kroos, no Marin, no Fischer, no Schorch, no Vrzogic n many others. The front line should be Sukuta-Pasu and Naki , though Naki isn't really a striker he has a pretty good scoring rate. His best position should be supporting forward/LAM.............

Sukuta-Pasu, the only 1990er in the squad, is going to start

Schorch(hows the youg man doing in Real Madrid?)

I found this (http://www.mz-web.de/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=ksta/page&atype=ksArtikel&aid=1213961228433) (German) on Schorch at Real Madrid. Sounds like it's going ok, but nothing spectacular, with Schuster taking a bit of interest. He was a starter 7 times for Real Madrid B last season.

Timo Gebhardt is one of my favourite German prospects and he just showed why.

1:0 - Sukuta-Pasu

They're not giving the game on 5 ESPN channels, you lie to me one more time Squid, you see what I do to you!

LOL at this team playing more beautiful football than the seniors. :D The quality is terrible at P2p though.
