2-0 dejagah after a pass from Ebert. Our guys are playing really good. ITs pleasure to see so much technically gifted players for Germany. Marin is also having a good game. Does for anyone DFB stream work?

It's a Windows Media Player opening in the window.

Some quality diving there by Marin, perhaps that's where the likening to C. Ronaldo came from. Hummels seems a good centre back.

The German U17 NT failed to qualify for the Euro08.

13.03.2008
Ireland - Germany (1:1)

15.03.2008
Germany - Portugal (0:2)

18.03.2008
Greece - Germany (0:2)

1. Ireland 4 4:3
2. Portugal 4 3:3
2. Germany 4 3:3
4. Greece 4 3:4

I think that means they won't take part in the WC 08 either as I think it's based on the results of the Euro?

Good. So the younger Kroos won't miss the team preparations for what might be his first professional season only to compete at a children's tournament and become needlessly famous on that basis...

Always look at the bright side... *dudum*

et-piece ban

Kurier
It has never happened before in the Bundesliga: A trainer forbids a player of taking corners and free kicks. That is exactly what happened to the young Hertha midfielder Patrick Ebert (21).

"Yes, I told him not to take any more corners or free kicks", revealed Lucien Favre, following the 1-2 home defeat against Schalke on Sunday.

Tough to take for Ebert, who is considered to be the most skillful player in the team. He was taken off after only 68 minutes against Schalke, and after the game he would only say: "I don't want to talk about my performance today."

Favre: "Patrick does well with free kicks and corners during training, he just doesn't seem to be able to reproduce it during a game. Maybe he is just nervous." Dieter Hoeneß : "Patty sometimes puts himself under too much pressure."

Ebert missed yesterday's training session and withdrew form the Germany under-21 squad ahead of their game against Luxembourg.

Good decision imo but I kinda doubt the "never happened before in the Bundesliga" thing.
Usually things like that just don't get reported.

Every team has designated corner and free-kick takers and if you fail too often you lose the job, pretty simple imo.

The latest U21 squad, Dejagah was originally there but was dropped afterwards due to injury. Daniel Halfar is the replacement. Still remember he made his debut for Kaiserslautern when he was 17/18, a good talent but needs time to prove. Playing in a club like Bielefeld may be a right place for him to develop since he is actually a first team regular since he joined.

A good squad especially on midfield and defense. Elits may just play a 4-2-3-1 formation as he alsways does, and maybe Hennings as the lone striker. with Ozil, Hunt and Rosenthal/Ozbek supporting. Kruska and Khedira will be the two CM/DMs. And the backline is very reliable with hot prospects such as Beck on RB, Hummels and Howedes on CBs and J.Boateng on LB.
Dejagagh is usually used as a lone striker under this system but since he's not here i guess Hennings should be ok, i hope to see Halfar playing too.

I m surprised that Kroos in't found in any junior NTs, neither U19 nor U18. M.Fischer who is highly rated is dropped from the U19 as well, see:

Nsereko is one of the better forwards in our team! And Fischer wasn't very strong this year despite his goal last week.

Can someone explain to me what Spain has been doing to dominate European youth football competitions for quite some years now?

You can go through years and years of German youth teams results and you don't ever find a Germany win against Spain. Actually, barely a draw, or even a narrow defeat.

So much for tomorrow's U-19 match :o
