he fears 4 the saftey of his family? and you believe that crap.

It can't be ruled out completely so there's no reason not to. Or do you have any inside knowledge regarding how the Iranian government and its henchmen work?

Are you a little racist?

:eek::(

Of course they do since they think that he can still switch to playing for Iran (which is not the case).

Dejagah is as dumb as a stick. He's got a tattoo on his neck saying: "Never forget where you (sic!) from". He's actually not referring to his parents birth country with that but to the fact that he's a Ghetto kid from Berlin who's life is so tough and all. What an idiot.

No, but your wording kind of conveys that impression.

He's obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer but what does that have to do with this case?

ugh that discussion, just coming of another board with the Dejagah discussion. People ended up debating the sharia law and Iran's government.

I understand his decision when he has family in Iran. Him missing one match is not the end of the world.

that he's just saying it because he thinks it's hip to say stuff like that. he pretends to be politically involved in some way. I know a lot of boys with a similar backround who are just like that when it comes to Israel. What they all have in common is lack of knowledge of the jewish society and the current political situation in the middle east.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense...

Sorry DF!

Actually, it is partially my fault. I have been very busy and can't get to everything here. Folks need to start using the "Report a Post" feature a bit more. Of course, I know most of you feel the need to respond to everything. :p

Sorry DF!

what do you mean?

What I wrote or what Dejagah said. What I wrote makes sense to me.

Here's an excellent German article on the Dejagah-affair:

Other than that I won't comment on this topic anymore...

The U21 game against Israel won't be shown on TV, that's diasappointing.

Interesting comment.

Here's also a "Spiegel" report:

Quote:

I really hope that only and only this is the reason for his refusal to play for Germany in Israel! Sad enough to see Iranian & Iranian descended players get exploited by their stubborn government...
