You mentioned that suspensions could knock a few players off of the list, so I pulled the number of cautions for the 21 remaining field players:
3 - Arnaud
2 - Beckerman, Gros, Mullan, Ihemelu, Dorman, O'Rourke
1 - Guerrero, Pause, Bornstein, Carroll, Zavagnin, Heaps, Twellman
0 - Kljestan, Palencia, Cooke, Erpen, J.Moreno, Victorine, Klein
Suspension comes after a player's fifth yellow, so several of these guys seem likely to miss a game at some point. Most obvious among them is Arnaud, followed by Beckerman and Mullan, who are both among the league leaders in fouls committed.

We nearly have our first yellow victim ... although Ihemelu's rate of one card per 270 minutes isn't so bad. RSL's Atiba Harris has 6 yellows in 471 minutes, i.e. one every 77 mins.
Among the above players, the one guy who looks safest from suspension is Cooke. After 10 games he has committed only one foul.

Yes, I'd think that Cooke would be a good one to bet on making it most of the way.

... or would've been, if he hadn't been subbed out of Colorado's most recent game. :D

We're down to 7. Last year 5 players made it, and only 24 in ten years of MLS. You have to think that Guerrero and Beckerman won't last much longer. Meanwhile, Heaps is only a yellow away from suspension.

DC-Troy Perkins
HOU-Pat Onstad

I was thinking about baseball, and it would be interesting to see how many guys who play all 162 or so games were never taken out.

Perkins didn't play in the Saturday, 9/9 match for DC, so he is done.
