I don't know if any of you are familiar with the Nike Rift shoe, but I guess Brine thought they would make their own version...as a soccer boot.
These boots are absolutely ridiculous.
They don't come with a sock (at least they weren't planning on it when we met with the Brine rep) that is special for the shoe, so you have to scrunch your socks between the toe split.
What a joke.

They have recently changed the shape at the front to make the shoe more 'rounded' but they are so comfy. I love mine i wear an all black pair to work on the wards :D

To each his own I guess...
Whenever I see Brine boots I think of 8 year olds playing rec league soccer.

I'm surprised Brine is still around. They must rake in loads with AYSO etc.

their balls are still top of the line and used for hs and college. I'd imagine that's the majority of their revenue.

Agreed, the only soccer balls I have ever seen in NC for HS are all Brine, even though my school is trying to get a deal with Select at the moment...

yeah, but I was surprised this year that they had a new ball design rather than the typical Brine championship ball they've always used.

When I saw these boots I thought they were rediculous, but now I see that they are on soccer.com and they look more pathetic and dangerous than ever:

sorry ths pic made me think of the Bob and Tom Band's famous song, here are the opening lyrics
You're a beautiful girl
and your pants are on on so tight
that when you stand just right
I can see it all
When your on the beach
and your bikini's soaking wet
I see a fuzzy silhouette as I look down below
I see your camel toe

LOL, I'm willing to bet about 90% of the members thought of those words or concept when they saw the boot...notw is that because we are all sick minded or because the boot is terribly designed...I say the latter.:p
