Though until the San Jose Earthquakes return, I'm probably not really interested in any version of the FIFA series (or any soccer game, for that matter). :(
But then again, perhaps I'll be able to afford an XBox 360 by next year.

XBox360 has the most "realistic" graphics yet. Just wait until you see a real likeness of the players. Right now, the one game that comes close is Fight Night (Boxing).
The only reason why I favour the PC is because I like to customize my own teams. ;)
Welcome to the future of gaming.

Will the Playstation 3 have better, worse or comprable graphics to the XBox360?

Ironically, if this demo had been released before last December 15th, I would've been so all over it and would've been the first to preorder the full version of the game.
However, like my post-December "anticipation" (or lack thereof (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=7443980&postcount=41)) of the upcoming real-life World Cup, I'm in absolutely no hurry to either download the demo or get the full-version of the game. :(

I don't know as of yet. I'll have to ask my "sources" in the industry. All they can tell me is that it won't be released in the USA until the end of the year...
If you can play FIFA 2006 multi-player on the PSP, that would be a giant leap ahead...
I'd just get it for the World Cup teams--not for anything else at this moment...

Now that it's recently been officially announced that the San Jose Earthquakes are likely to return soon, I've begun getting a a little bit excited about the upcoming World Cup again. Thusly, I finally decided to purchase this game for my PC (unfortunately, it'll be a while before I can afford to get an Xbox360 :( ). It's apparently a good thing I waited, too, as I hear that EA had recently lowered the price by about $10.
While I prefered the intro and musical score to EA's FIFA World Cup 2002, this year's was still pretty good (though to be fair to this year's version, 2002's intro music and musical score were among the most dramatic I've heard for any game, before or since).
Still, I'm really enjoying this game - the gameplay has been refined from FIFA Soccer 2006 (which already had good gameplay), and the historical facts and globe locations of every FIFA country on earth is pretty cool. The playing of the winning team's national anthem after each game is a really nice touch as well.
I've decided to start off as the U.S. National Team (of course) in the World Cup, but may take them through Qualifiers later on. The one thing I did to make my playing more palatable, though, was to create myself with Landon Donovan's exact playing stats (so as not to disrupt the competitive balance among the participating teams) and place myself in Donovan's starting spot. That way, the U.S. gets the same performance as they would with Donovan in there but without me actually having to have him there - and it was better for me to have created a new character rather than simply editing Donovan's name, height and looks so that the game's announcers wouldn't be calling me "Donovan".

So much so that I'm really hesitant to get the latest issues of sports magazines like Sports Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine, Striker Magazine, etc. that feature the U.S. National Soccer Team, as Donovan is thoroughly displayed on the cover and in the magazines (though I may get those issues eventually). :(
Fortunately, I was at least able to rectify that problem in this game.
