yeah, it's almost like the writers decided to go in a different direction after last season. we haven't heard from the monster in a long time.
the monster was a big part of Mr. Eko's story this season. but i don't think it's that they decided to go in another direction as much as it is that the show's too big and not everything will be there every week. When's the last time we heard from Claire, Walt or Michael? Desmond? everything has to take it's turn. I mean, what happened to this army jack wanted to raise? too much show, too little time.

Totally. But I really don't want them streamlining the show too much either. I love Eko, but could do without Ana Lucia. Then there is a minor character like Libby who now seems like she will play a major part down the line. The other thing to remember is that each show is maybe 2 or 3 days, if that. Hell, I think they have only been on the island for about 60 days, so no wonder it seems like things are moving slowly to everybody watching it.

any reason why or just a general state of excitement? I'm both, by the way. :)

A little bit of both, plus I needed to subscribe to the thread.
Interested too see what comes out of Jack's venture to the other territory (probably some cliffhanger where he gets attacked right at the end), what "Gayle" has to say, and if we get to see Claire anytime soon.

It could be that the 'He' Henry Gale (Wasnt that the name of Dorothy of OZs Uncle? You know. Auntie Em's Husband) was talking about is the Japanese guy from the film. I think we saw him among the Others.

good ep tonight, but not the greatest.
i liked the connection at the end, with rose & locke. the island both healed them. is that what rose was talking about earlier when locke was sitting in her spot? that it won't be long before he gets up and running? i liked that part....oo! and michael will be in the next NEW ep. i am guessing in 2 weeks
i don't think that ana lucia will actually kill henry. but it doesn't look like henry is very friendly with her in the coming up commercials.

Apparently, Rose had cancer and the island cured it.
Just like it made Locke able to walk and Sun able to get pregnant.
What else can the island do?
I liked the smirk on Henry's face when Locke was yelling at him through that door in the hatch.
And Michael's back. Interesting.

To be fair to newer posters in this thread, there was extensive discussion of spoilers towards the end of thread #2 that was accepted.

Not to nitpick, but it didn't make Sun able to get pregnant, it made Jin able to get it up.

If he's been warned, he's been warned. The last thing I saw in the other thread was someone asking about talking about spoilers and the consensus being, "that's why there's an [R] in the thread title."

Yeah yeah, I thought about that as I was posting too. :o
Pretty good episode tonight, especially for one with as much background info. The most important thing was that we finally see someone that's recognized that Locke was in a chair before the crash. Although we saw Jack encounter him on the plane, there hasn't been any recollection of this by him on the island as of yet.
