Who is the best defensive Midfielder in the French League and who does he play for?

How could it be Toulalan when he hasnt been linked with all the top European clubs. He's only been linked with teams like Lyon and PSG. The best defensive midfielder is Diarra who's is wanted by teams like Milan and Real Madrid.

Toulalan is pretty good though. A clean, simple and competitive recuperateur.

Well typically any discussion of a best position player in the French League starts off with whoever fills that spot at Lyon. But I think Didier Zokora deserves a mention.

Eh, he can sometimes be a head case, and with the amount of money it could infuse into our transfer budget, and guys like Perrin coming up, I'll take the sale.
That's not to say I would be disappointed if we kept him.

What about the Diarra from Lens? or even Mbami from PSG.
I think Diarra will leave Lyon this season. Arsenal, Man Utd, Real Madrid are all in the need for a defensive midfielder. I think he would do well in England.

Gilberto is good, but I rate Diarra (lyon) higher.
and can't discount Makelele, though he is getting old now.

Why would I care what Arsenal fans think? I know what I see and I see Wenger was right in selling Viera. It hasn't really hurt them, or am I wrong?

They've gone from being 1st or 2nd every seaon to 5th. Gilberto is very average.
