when the turn-out of ones adult club starts gettin' spotty? Our 40+ squad has very sparse attendance for training sessions, like <10 each time. Should the riot act be screamed at them, or should I look for another club?

Hell...my 40 & over league team is lucky to get about 2/3rds to turn up on game nights. We don't even think about trying to get people out for regular practices...just a group of us try to hit a few pickup games here and there.

Good luck finding an over 40 team that takes things seriously. I mean, at this point, isn't it more about having a good time and getting some exercise? The league I play in is scattered with ex-pros and mostly filled with ex-college players and I still don't know of any teams that practice regularly. At a certain point, you just gotta relax and have some fun.

Screamin' at a bunch of middle-aged guys for missin' practice is just gonna get you less people showing up or more people finding other teams to play on.

I think those results are far better than most. Go ahead and look but don't get your hopes up.
