This all happened in my last club game:
Opposing keeper picked up a clear back pass with his hands. Play continued for a few seconds, then the referee stopped play at midfield, carried the ball back to the 6 yard box and awarded------a non-contested drop ball. His explanation to our captain, "the 'keeper made a mistake."
Allowed a substitution without stopping play for a player with a bloody nose.
Restarted a game that had been stopped to allow the keeper (me, not the one who handled the back pass) to put his contact lens back in----before I made it back onto the field.
Awarded a PK for a bad tackle in the box. (This I have no problem with). Gave a straight red to a defender who said "Ref, you suck" barely audibly and with no profanity. Meanwhile, the attacker who was fouled, screamed and grabbed his leg like he'd been shot, then jumped up and laughed after he got the call and as our defender was being showed the card.
I asked why there was no card given for unsporting conduct on the part of the attacker and he told me, "I don't care, he can scream like that if he wants."
I'm not complaining. Just thought y'all might get a kick out of these.
BTW, this is the A division in a men's outdoor league.
