its good from 1999-2006 kahn has been number 1. what has he won for the national team? nothing.
2000 euro cup-bad perfomance against portugal
2002- great blunder in the final
2004- he gifted czech an easy goal

he had his time and proved to be an experienced loser

You point out 3 bad performances over a 7 year span and deduce than Kahn has "done nothing" for the national team. Brilliant! You are a genius!

Did SePp (;)) Maier and Andreas Koepke have Per Mertesacker and Robert Huth in front of them!

NOOOOO!
huth and mertersacker and friedrichs are the problem.
why not try Reinhard of hsv. he played well last week

don't dwell too much in challenging my points. you are free to give yours
but

That said, neither should be on the team after WC06, as we have great young (and medium-aged) keepers about to make the jump to international or world-class caliber. Enke and Weidenfeller come to mind; Hildebrand hasn't impressed for a while, but can't be counted out; Rost I like a lot, but unfortunately his age won't help him.

hey everyone it is already done. we know lehmann will be No 1. but just so you know he won't do shit for germany and germany will be eliminated in the second round if not in the first and they can't get past the qtrs with lehmann in goal even if they had all the luck there is.

1) Vertical Horizon is an idiot.
2) No doubt that Kahn is almost solely responsible for Bayern winning the CL and the NT making the final in 2002. Today, none of this matters. I support the decision to make Lehmann No.1, and I love having a keeper like Kahn be his backup.

Can you name the last German goalkeeper to win the award for best player in the WM?

i don't think kahn would want to be a backup keeper and certainly not for a sucker like lehmann

Has Kahn accepted the backup position? I wouldn't be surprised if he retired from international duty altogether.

well im glad they found the right guy. Lehmann has been amazing, i was never a fan of his but watching him in the CL the guy is playing very well. if you compare form it is a no brainer that the Arsenal keeper gets the spot. Kahn the only thing he has goin for him is his leadership, yes that is huge but the goals are gonna be even bigger if they are let in front of the home fans. this might not let Klinsmann keep his job if they dont do well, but is also could because i see Germany going farther with him in the back. its unfortunate for Kahn, but finally someone has told kahn to sit the heck down. hopefully Magath will pay attention to this.

I know what Kahn has done in the past, and I am not going to bash him over it because he is the reason Germany in the past has gone as far as they have, but that was years ago, i am talking about now.

damn straight... im glad klinsmann has taken a stance...
i, too, believe it is the right one... sometimes, we need to swallow our pride to improve ourselves...
lets see if kahn has the same character lehmann showed in wresting top spot away from him... you just cannot argue with the decision based on performances...

well done, klinsi... hes shown hes got the testicular fortitude to stand up to the powers that be, yet again...

well I would not call Vertical Horizon an idiot:)..He is new here..
we should say him more Welcome and not call him idiot only because he has another opinon.

I also would have been happier if we had Kahn as number one goalkeepeer

and I also think that many of us will be for Lehman and many for Kahn.

the reality is Lehman is number one goalkeeper..

and we all need to support our team now..

after world cup stars we will forget all this discussion about goalkeepers:)

Has Kahn accepted the backup position? I wouldn't be surprised if he retired from international duty altogether. His choice to quit, but all that would mean is that for the past years his rhetoric just came out of his ass.

As I Bayern-fan, I am frequently embarrassed when Kahn opens his mouth--he should have kept to goalkeeping, then he still would be Number One. Instead, he believed he simply was the best and invincible. I more or less think he's reponsible for his own downfall.

I'd rather see Rensing in the Bayern goal, too. Not because I think he's better than Kahn, but because I think Kahn is retarding his growth.

truth hurts
why are you worried you wanted me to keep the above facts secret?
sorry i have revealed all kahn's secrets

they are not facts. you have written the same BS before and i wrote back and exlained to you that they are not true. example: simple back pass by jeremis. it so was not jeremis wanted to kick the ball out to corner and it ended up in the net and neither kahn nor any other GK could have done anything to block it.
you blame kahn for the baros goal and baros went between 2 defenders and nobody is critcizing them and kanh blocked the shot and baros scored on the rebound.
fock i am tired of replying to your shit

well if that wasn't the longest read ever (this entire thread)...

... we will possibly find out soon enough about Lehmann's capabilities in the "big match". If Arsenal get to Paris for the CLS final, which is looking more and more possible each game, then he can hopefully test himself against perhaps the world's greatest player (and Brazilian) 1v1 with Rinaldinho.

Maybe Kahn can catch a break then.

Best of luck to Jens... the good news should be Jurgen has made a decision... no thanks to Bayern's strongarming (embarrassing moment for us FCB fans, yes).

Then don't....

To be fair it is quite painful to read VH's posts. And it is quite painful to ignore them. I just don't bother anymore as it's pointless. Could you check if utter stupidity is a reason for a forum ban? If this vertical nonsense carries on I'll quit reading this stuff.
