Kahn served Germany well.

The image I remember most from 2002 is Landon Donovan dropping a load in his shorts when he found himself alone with only Kahn to beat. I am convinced that against any other keeper, he scores.

Kahn may have dropped the ball, so to speak, in the final, but without him Germany get nowhere even close to the final.

Give credit where credit is due.

Also accept that in this moment, Lehmann is the better choice. I don't like Lehmann. Never have. But I accept this point.

Somehow i think Klinsi always secretly favoured Lehmann. Anyhow, we should accept the decision and get behind the team. It wont be Lehmanns fault when we go out in the 1/8.

well im glad they found the right guy. Lehmann has been amazing, i was never a fan of his but watching him in the CL the guy is playing very well. if you compare form it is a no brainer that the Arsenal keeper gets the spot. Kahn the only thing he has goin for him is his leadership, yes that is huge but the goals are gonna be even bigger if they are let in front of the home fans. this might not let Klinsmann keep his job if they dont do well, but is also could because i see Germany going farther with him in the back. its unfortunate for Kahn, but finally someone has told kahn to sit the heck down. hopefully Magath will pay attention to this.

I know what Kahn has done in the past, and I am not going to bash him over it because he is the reason Germany in the past has gone as far as they have, but that was years ago, i am talking about now.

it is not the right decision. klinsi is gonna lose his job and his career after this world cup in which germany will not get past the second round or the qtr with lehmann in goal.
klinsi wanted to do it when he got the job he just wanted kahn to make a mistake and this was the right time.

Kahn used to be the best. USED TO BE. He has passed his Zenith a while back. He shouldn't be in the goal in June just because he was awesome last WC. We all know he played a big part in Germany getting into the final. No one doubts that. Over the last year or two his track record has been spotty. He'll make a great save, then he fu**s up the easy ones. I do think Lehmann is in better physical condition (also, Kahn seems to have been more injury-prone as of late). I do agree that Lehmann is the better choice for this WC. And I am a HUGE Bayern Fan. It's my team but I think it's gotta be Lehmann this time around.
As for Germany being knocked out because of the goal keeper, I think you guys are dreaming. The defense is what we really need to worry about.
