OK, the time is almost here.
I am going with either 4 or 5 people.
I am sure 4 of are going.

I will list them and their ages so you can help plan things for us to do while there.

Me - 34
Wife - 33
Mom in Law - 67
My sister - 19
Uncle - 28 (he may come with us, but even if he does, he may head off to see his friends)

So, bars seem out of the question unless anyone has a sister near 19 for my sister to hang with for a day. No, you can't even think of hooking up with my sister...again, unless you have a sister over 18 for me. :D

Seriously now, I have been to NYC many times. Staying in Manhatten would be great, but more expensive and I plan to drive. The last time I stayed in the city and drove, I had to pay $50 a day to park with no in and out. Not again.

How safe are your burros? There must be a Farifield type hotel with parking included, right? I can look for the hotel, just need to know the hoods. I have stayed in Kearney, NJ and Harrison, NJ before, so NJ could be an option, if you teach me how to get into the city, no, not Newark. :D

I was thinking of using my airline miles for all of us, I have over 100,000, but then I need transportation and have to decide which airport to fly into, unless the airline of choice forces me into one.

Where is JFK?
I think La Guardia is in Queens, right? Been there.
Liberty/EWR is in Newark, right? Been there.

The drive is killer, but either way, we work Thursday, so may leave later that night, getting to the area early Friday morning. That is good friday, so who is not working or at school?

We leave Sunday, prolly by midday to avoid much of the night driving but we could have Monday off for a midday travel day.

To make it simple, we will be around:
Friday
Sat
Sun

for sure.

We gonna meet up? Will I have to come out to visit you all one day at a time, or we gonna have one big meetup at a time and place we can decide here?

As you can see, I am flexible, but want to have some ideas so I can get a hotel room in a certain area. Gonna check the airlines, but probaby drive as of right now.

Help me out here!

I'm 19, I can probably show your sister a good time :p. Anyway JFK I think is also classified as Queens even though it's way closer to Brooklyn then LaGuardia. As far as hotels a couple of friends of mine stayed at this hotel around Union Square in Manhattan around 17th st and second ave. It's not big or anything but it was cheap. I can't remeber the name right now. As for parking thats always a bitch. You can probably find random streets around the East Village or such with parking spaces available you just have to look hard and around the right time. Me and some friends have rented a van a couple of times and we've parked in pretty random places with no problem, you just gotta look.

Stay in Greenwich, close to NYC, very safe. I'll protect you, and your sis.

I'll be there on your days off, bro! You know it!

OK, we arrive about 11am on Friday to La Guardia (LGA).
We are going to stay in that area to keep close to the airport. That makes it easier coming and going, the city 10 miles away and it is way cheaper than the city.

We leave on Easter Sunday at 10am.

Like I said, we will be open for anything between those times.

You know, these flights kind of cramped my extended stay I wanted, but got a deal on the two rooms and paid $10 for each airline ticket!

Yea, $40 for the four tix! Man, I used all my flight fund miles, but I got a weekend getaway with the family for a steal.

Looking forward to drinking, meeting you all (if possible), drinking, having my lil sister get a glimpse of the best city in the world (took her to Chicago last Easter - we always go somewhere for Easter), drinking, eating Peruvian food, drinking, getting away from work, drinking and drinking. I think that about sums things up here.

Oh yea, looking forward to some drinking. Did I already say that? :p

I am not a drunk, just a Peruvian.

Damn dude, I thought you had fam around these parts. As far as hotels go, dont stay in no south bronx ;). Manhattan is way too expensive. New Jersey might have some more comfortable spots with parking. Yo, if your here for a Saturday we gots to go see a Red bulls game. Will you be able to break away from the fam . See I get away with the kid ;)

No, we are not driving. I am too old for that shit anymore.

Basicly got free tix anyways.

We will be staying in East Elmhurst at the Wyndham.

I got peeps, but we are four people. I don't want to be a burden.

My wife and in law love to go to the stadium. We had Crew season tix for 6 years, until they fcuked me up with the police and shit. I have only been back to that Crew stadium for the USA/Mex last year. They won't get a dime from me.

Yea, my wife and in law even went to NJ for the Peru/Ecuador match. They like that stuff...if we decide to do that, they will be down, unless you can keep them occupied somehow. Nah, we roll together, la family.

I like this tip from a hotel review...

$20-30 to get to the city, but if you are cheap and patient, the M60 bus and N/W train will take you straight to the action in Time Square. :p

Yea, that is me.

Lunch in Keso's hood is souvlakis and gyros. I live in lil athens, that hotel aint too far from roosevelt ave. If we going to titty bars afterwards, sorry but I aint driving. I aint even go back man. I'll show you the subways....7 train rides the roosevelt and a 1/2 hour later will get you to times square. For the m60, I believe you have to go into the airport to catch that. As far sleazy bars alls we got to do is roam roosevelt. As far as a nice lunch place, we can prob find something on roosevelt then Garcia and fam can jump on the 7 train.
