A little over a month ago, before leaving for a vacation in Peru, I asked for some info on any matches I might be able to catch while there. With the help of more than one poster on this board, I was able to catch a Copa Libertadores game between Cienciano and Caracas FC in Cuzco. Been back now two weeks, and just wanted to say thanks.
Photos are up on my website at:

...my four person group for the Inca Trail would include me and three Swedish girls. After I picked myself up off the floorboards of the car, I calmly replied something like, "Four people... that's a nice size group."
Yea, very nice. :D

A fellow Atlantan, indeed. Virginia Highlands is my hood.
So, is it common for game days and times to change pretty much the week of the event in Peru? I was all set to catch a second match, the classico in Lima on the 26th of March, but then it was actually played on the 25th. I swear I had the correct date. Anyway, the CL match in Cuzco was good fun, and the Peruvians are great.
Next trip, 100 percent... Sweden.

To my surprise, despite all the horrible things I had heard about Puno, I found the city to have more than enough charm for one evening out on the town.Who is saying bad things about Puno? :(

Cool. The Highlands. A regular at the Brewhouse then? I try going most weekends and catch some footy on TV.
About el clasico, it was weird. You had it right for Sunday. A big game like that would've been scheduled on Sunday, but at the end they rescheduled and opted for Saturday. Ended 1-1. Good game.

It was a good game... I watched in Arequipa on TV and tried to figure out just what the heck I had done wrong. I was a little bummed that I missed the match when I was in Lima the next day, but watching George Mason beat Connecticut sorta kinda made up for it. Not really.
Anyway, yes... Brewhouse regular. Looking forward sitting there for some of the final EPL games and upcoming US matches (should I decide not to make the drive to North Carolina and Nashville). Great little bar we got, ain't it?
