With all the hype of "Let's make new friends" and a "New" Germany.
How much rasism is there really there.
I find this article a "little" disturbing. Please don't point out that it happens everywhere. This is world cup, a multi national affaire, I don't really think Germany will only field "white" players but come on in this day and age do we have to put up with this crap...???

That is really sick. My heart goes out to that Nigerian guy. When Olisadebe came to play in Poland he was often called a "banana" and heard monkey chants, but that stopped after a while. But nobody attacked him...at least not that I am aware of. Last time there was a racial incident in Poland, both fans who were the main culprits were banned for life from the stadium and their pictures posted on the club's website immediately after the incident. Gotta deal swiftly with those kind of people.
I think racism is becoming more of a problem in Europe than most people would admit. For years Europeans were in denial and laughed at "silly American racists". My friends would ask me why does the US have so much racial problems? Well look how times have changed...
Hopefully the German authorities will get a handle on this problem before it escalates. Maybe they can send neo-Nazis and racists to join the Guanatanamo Bay prisoners for a couple years. Oh wait, that would an insult to the imprisoned muslims. Sorry about the political spin, couldnt help myself.

few months old though.
I personally don't think we'll see to much of it at the world cup.

Racism is a serious problem in football, to be sure... but I question how fair it is to penalize teams for the behaviour of their fans in this or any other situation unless it can be shown that there was direct involvement, incitement or negligence by players or team representatives/officials.
A better solution would be to eject and ban (for some time, or depending on the offense, permanantly) them from the stadiums.
