as a chiva fan do you care about this team?do you want them to suceed in the MLS?

i dont know much about chivas USA but i did watched last match against real salt lake and they were pretty good, palencia was playing well, i do hope they get to win the cup on the mls , so later they can get to go to the
"Campeon de Campeones"and face chivas de guadalajara after they win el apertura this year:D .how sick will that be!
so what do you think?

I went to a few games last year, and was at Sunday's game. It's a totally different team. I'm sure in Mexico they could care less about Chivas USA, but here in Cali, it just gives me one more team to root for.
Y un golazo de JP Garcia, aunque era Zorra el wey, pero poco a poco se le va quitando.

It's not in my blood, but I support them.

Not in the "I go to every game" way, but more in the "I check their results".

I do have a question though, I thought Chivas USA was keeping with the tradition of only fielding Mexican players, then I see that they signed John O Brian, a US international.

Anybody care to enlighten me?

Well.

One. I am not lawyer. But. Only fielding, i.e., hiring Mexican players, may not pass legally wise.

Two. Since Day1 of Chivas USA, they have not fielded a Mexican-only team.

Three. I think Vergara sees Chivas USA as a way to expand the "brand", for a lack of a better word", "Chivas", to the US, tap the Mexican futbol market, and associate the brand to this market vis a vis a particular game style associated with Chivas.

Yup. It's a money-making venture.

Not that most sports leagues AREN'T, but Chivas USA started as and totally reeks of marketing. I don't give a rat's ass about them.

Me gusto esa explicacion, i also support them, since the first season.

It's the same with Chivas Coras (los superlideres de la Primera A).

I guess Chivas USA was looking to add some quality to the midfield and thought John O' Brian could lend a hand. Heyo! Wait a minute......

I think I just depressed myself :(

Chivas USA is Testament to Chivas greatness. A club so popular it has its prescence in two leagues.. As the old saying goes 'aya donde ay un Mexicano encontraras un Chiva hermano', has now been expanded to 'aya donde hay un Americano encontraras otro Chiva hermano..

....and the bottom line...that's what it is. Think of it this way....some spin-offs don't work...and some do. Think of Chivas as Cheers....Chivas USA as Frasier. :D

Frasier was an acquired taste, the more you watched it the more you liked it...for some, not all.

I've followed Chivas USA since their first game last season, and would consider myself a fan. Hopefully this year we will be a lot better than last year (dead last, most goals allowed).

CD Chivas USA is my second favorite team in the world. I went to a lot of their games last year and they have made the MLS exciting for me because they bring Mexican passion to the league. Just sit with us en la Legion, behind the goal and tell me you dont feel that same Chivas Passion. The LA super Classico offers a great vibe for all of us chivas fans that cant attend Chivas vs. Amerigay and Chivas vs. Atlas.

CD Chivas USA hasta la Muerte C@brones !!!!!!
