i would think that one-way destination tickets would be far inexpensive than round-trips. I tried numerous times on orbitz, comparing both, one way plans and flexible round trips, but it always comes out to be a better bargain through the round trip. I plan to go to Germany, and hope to take a direct flight from germany to my home country, trying to avoid the hassle of coming back to states because there is certainly no reason for me to take the extra flight.

anyway, are round trips normally more cheaper than one-way plans???

Round trips are almost always cheaper. If you want a multi-legged trip, however, it would probably be cheaper to go through a web site or airline and get all the legs you want rather than to buy multiple round trips, or a round trip and a separate leg.

For example, I am stopping in Vienna before my matches, stopping in London on the way home, and stopping in Salt Lake City after that. I was able to get a good deal on American/British Airways online.

LAX - Vienna
[Vienna to Leipzig and Berlin via train]
Berlin - LHR
LHR - SLC

most of the best deals i'm seeing at this relatively late stage are aa/ba round trips

i was told to try LTU as well (i'm going out of lax).

anyone know of any travel agents specializing in wc travel out of the states?
