I was raised in the West Coast and KRS-1 and RUN DMC really never got heavy rotation with me. Although I acknowledge their contribution to hip hop and the great records they produced, they would not make my Top 10.

I made my top 10 for the records that were made during my era, I understand that others might have been a bigger success but It wasn't in my era.

If you consider the Wu-Tang Clan in "your era," then KRS-One should be as well. KRS split from Boogie Down Productions and went solo in the same period when 36 Chambers first came out.

Also, the fact that you put three Wu-Tang solo albums ahead of Liquid Swords is mildly appaling.

The fact that anybody could put three ANY Wu-Tang albums ahead of Liquid Swords is ridiculous.

1. Enter the 36
2. Liquid Swords
3. All else

ehh...I don't think Cuban Linx or Supreme Clientele are any worse.

And with 10 albums, there is no one who HAS to be on any list.

And I've never understood the fixation on KRS-1. He's good, but the main reason so many people consider him one of the greatest MCs ever is his shameless self-promotion. Not a fan of his style at all.

I've got to tell you something, I love the X-Clan, Litefoot and Mr. Lif choices...

PM dawn and Eminem, that's got me scratching my head. More so with PM Dawn.

I like the variation though...

A lot of people got fooled into thinking Eminem was anything more than a modern-day Vanilla Ice. He's a novelty at best, with an annoying style and good publicist.

I've always thought of him as the Geto Boys with better production value and less street cred.

I saw him at St. Andrews Hall maybe, what, 8-9 years ago? Prior to the Dr. Dre deal. He was nothing even remotely special and certainly dwarfed by the better underground Detroit rappers of the time (Esham, Simikin Heights, even Project Born and... uh... ICP :o )

I couldn't possibly disagree more.
