Kuba and Petric were both injured in last night's 2-1 friendly victory in Gent, Belgium.

Kuba suffered a torn thigh muscle and will be out for about three weeks.

Petric suffered a hyper-extended hip muscle and will be out about a week.

Both players will miss the German Cup round of 16 match with Werder Bremen on January 29th.

Yeah. It's just that it seems unless I report it, no one does. :(

Don't worry, in a while I'll be taking over this sub-forum!! :p

But really, your reporting work is very much appreciated.

A lot of us sometimes feel alienated by the way sometimes you reply to our posts. :)

And I'm trying to change that, but I don't own these boards. You of all people should know that.

Are people really that sensitive these days???

Do you even pay attention to what you post or the way you post sometimes? :) For the most part, you're fine but 20% of the time....sheesh.

Keith can come across that way at times but realize his passion for the club makes this big soft teady bear growl at times!!!

Don't take it personally...I've know him for a long time now! ;)

I too am passionate but I allow others to express their opinions (and not bash them as utter nonsense). Not that ff always does that, though sometimes he does come across like that. :)

Uh, Metro, sometimes what is written is utter nonsense. And yes, sometimes I allow what some people write to set me off.

I'm sorry. I am trying to change that.

I guess I'm too old for this stuff. I've been brought up to believe when someone is full of shit, you call them on it. When you feel someone is confrontational, you go back at them.

And I've been brought up to believe when you're the one who's full of shit, you acknowledge, repair, apologize (if necessary) and move on.

I can try ignoring what is written or I can step away. All I want is for more people to discuss BVB.

But I also want them to know that is TRULY going on. What the club TRULY can and cannot do.

I've volunteered to step away from the list/fan club I started for that very same reason. I'll step away from here too if need be.

Believe me, I'm not popular with a lot of the other BVB fans up in the area because they don't understand my ways.

And to be honest, I don't care that they don't try to understand me. The ones who have taken the time to try to understand me know I love that club as much as any of them do, if not more. And they are all still my friends.

So, the offer stands. If I need to go away for more people to discuss BVB here, I will. I can deal with just discussing football on the Bayern boards here.

I have enough work to do for BVB to keep me busy......

I appreciate your efforts. :)
I never said I didn't.
You don't need to step away: we need your insight, believe me.
Just also take the time to relax and let others opine, as well.
You're not saying I am full of sh!t, are you? See how I don't get all "hot and bothered"? :)

It's not about not appreciating my efforts. I do that because I enjoy it, not for any reward. I like that you guys appreciate it. That's great.

However, these are discussion boards are they not??

If someone has an opinion I or anyone else don't agree with, we can't let our disagreement be known?

And I don't "go off" on everyone who posts something I don't agree with. I go off when what they post is so ridiculous it's offensive. That is what I'm trying to cut down on. Going off on that stuff so easily.

Then there are times I disagree and some take exception to my disagreement. As if they are offended because I disagree with them. That's when it turns into fights.

I will try to stop that too.

But I won't sit and pretend I agree with everything everyone posts or everyone's opinion is "great."

I cannot do that.

And no, I wasn't saying you are full of shit, just speaking in general. :D

Now that would be hilarious :D

Anyway, I did for a while find some of your posts in general a bit "strong" or aggressive in their manner, but figured out that you were just being straight (maybe the military influence :)); not necessarily angry. Unless you had the red smiley next to it. Until I figured all this out - which isn't too easy on a message board - I was wondering why you were so "serious".

But most of your posts were always very informative and well constructed. The other thing I liked is how you were virtually the only poster who pushed the "Don't put words into my mouth" theme. So many arguments here start because people don't read properly and assume things. Or they don't write things clearly and then assume people knew what they meant. This is stupid, at least until an understanding is developed between them and another poster.

Actually I post more on the Bayern boards than I do here. Those guys have conversation going every day. I've had my battles with some of them, but none I know of have stopped posting there because of the way I express my views. Hell, some of them are nearly as "bad" as I am! ;)

Right on. That is a problem with me. I'm mostly very serious when it comes to things I care deeply. It isn't just the military influence, but the "Philadelphia" one too. We "Philly Phans" have quite a reputation for the way we display our passion. We love our teams, but we're the fans who are also the most critical. We're very critical, but we are knowledgeable. Most of us only criticize when we're nearly sure we know what we're talking about.

As are the posts of quite a few others here, but it seems disagreement is a problem here. Especially the way I disagree.

Yes, I can't stand it when someone else tries to tell me what I mean with the words I use. How in the hell are you going to tell me what I mean? And many people decide to use their meaning of your words because they simply want to "win" a discussion/argument. That incenses me the most.

You are right about developing understandings. That is understood.

Remember how "Gunning4Chelsea" and I used to go at each other about Smolarek/Valdez? Now, I can't wait for him to post. Not because I want to fight with him or just because he was right about Valdez. I can't wait for him to post because I want his insight.

In your case, I can't wait to see the things you've heard and seen at places I don't get to check.

And while the club is probably tired of seeing my name in their e-mail boxes, I send information you guys post here to them. Whether they read it or not is another story, but I do it.

Petric is a prime example. "Kobi_Nu11" and another person told us that Petric is a very good striker, but buying him as a midfielder would be a waste of time and money. I tried to pass them that information and told them they should try to get both Petric and Rakitic.

But as I said, I doubt they read those mails and they certainly don't listen to fans.

Just an example of what I can try to do with that information and that is why I press for the real information and not just pipe dreams.

Again, I'm trying to change some things. I try to get fans more into the club, not push them away. Guess I just can't be me while I do it. Which bothers me because I don't want to be "fake" either........

You're from philadelphia?? I thought you were from san antonio.

I'm quite a NBA fan (although not as much as 10 years ago and before); basketball's actually my first game, although football's obviously went ahead of it in importance quite soon after I got into it. Anyway, whenever I think of Philadelphia I think of Moses Malone's (or was it Julius Erving?) "Fo-fo-fo" :D. Classic quote. (And what you said about the fans. And how they hate the Lakers).

The 76ers are a bit like Dortmund aren't they...big club, massive support, very good history, iconic club of the league, but doing crap now.

Yup, I will contribute everything I know here....

That was quite touching. Great effort on your part to gather our input and send it, and it shows a lot of care for the club.

I would definitely offer to do translation work for the website. It'd be great to do the stuff from long ago, and 10-15 years ago just to be able to read it, but unfortunately I can't read German for shit!

Oh boy, and Rakitic ended up at Schalke. Hope the management was happy.

I wonder if the fans should just do something like vacate the westfalenstadion...I mean we're the highest attended club in europe (aren't we?), and if the fans in dortmund showed that they won't turn up, the management might listen. Schalke fans did something similar last season for 19 mins and 4 seconds.

Just an example of what I can try to do with that information and that is why I press for the real information and not just pipe dreams.

Again, quite touching :). You do a great service for the club. We just need a better management team to make better use of it.

You're from philadelphia?? I thought you were from san antonio.

San Antonio is the last place I lived in the USA and probably where I will make my home whenever I decide to settle down. However, I was born and raised in Philadelphia.

That was Moses Malone before the 1983 NBA Playoffs. His way of saying the Sixers would sweep their way to the NBA title. They nearly pulled it off. They swept their first round opponents, but lost one game to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals before sweeping the LA Lakers in the finals. So, it was adjusted to "Fo, Five, Fo!" LOL!!

What's funny is that the Sixers fans are the best behaved of any. You want to see rowdy in Philly, check out the Eagles (American Football), Flyers (National Hockey League) or Phillies (Major League Baseball).

The 76ers are a bit like Dortmund aren't they...big club, massive support, very good history, iconic club of the league, but doing crap now.

And in crappy straits right now for the same reason as BVB. Bad management over the years.

Yup, I will contribute everything I know here....

Thanks again for that!!

That was quite touching. Great effort on your part to gather our input and send it, and it shows a lot of care for the club.

Well, they don't seem to take suggestions.

I would definitely offer to do translation work for the website. It'd be great to do the stuff from long ago, and 10-15 years ago just to be able to read it, but unfortunately I can't read German for shit!

Right now, we're certainly looking for help. There's just three of us right now and one hardly ever has time and the other two, including me, just don't find the same time for it as before. The problem is that we aren't paid. But that's how we got our tickets to the German Cup Final.......

Oh boy, and Rakitic ended up at Schalke. Hope the management was happy.

They think they're doing a good job. And partially, they are. They could just be doing better......

I wonder if the fans should just do something like vacate the westfalenstadion...

They would never do that. They would consider it "disloyal."

I mean we're the highest attended club in europe (aren't we?), and if the fans in dortmund showed that they won't turn up, the management might listen.

I wouldn't go into that "highest attended club" in Europe thing. I believe we still are, but we don't sell out most matches anymore. As of after the Leverkusen match, our average attendance was 73,615. Still very impressive, but again, we can do better.

Schalke fans did something similar last season for 19 mins and 4 seconds.

That's the entire point. They only did it for less than 20 minutes and management just moved on.

Again, quite touching :). You do a great service for the club. We just need a better management team to make better use of it.

The other fans are great too. They just don't seem to get that wanting to be better and demanding to be better isn't "disloyal" to your club......

Let's say if somebody translated something from German to english in a rough way and wanted me to write it out so that it flows, I could do that. I can't commit long term, but I can offer to do that on an article-by-article basis. Just to lessen the workload on you 3.

Or if I was given a set of stats and a direction to take with them to make into some sort of article.
