That's funny. The story at the offical website says he came through the 60 minute test match just fine and is really just lacking coordination and field instincts........

Kehl Completes Stamina Test: "Confidence Can Only Be Gained By Playing In Matches!" (http://www.borussia-dortmund.com/?%E7%86%9C%2Ah%97%84%ECSj%E5%8C%9D)

A friend of mine was at the trainings centre today and said Kehl was more sitting on the pitch than playing. Plus he hold his knee several times. I really hope he makes progresses but after that long period I am just not optimistic anymore.

I see now. I just checked Westline. You are right, but they think he can play.

This is the shit that's pissing me off about BVB these days. They are not above lying or withholding information from the fans.

The club just said "he came through the test." They mentioned nothing of his feeling pain during the test.

To me, that's as bad as lying to us.

Kehl's own words from the article as translated by San:

"It was important for me to play a full team match for the first in six months", said the 27-year old, who also reported he feels fit but is missing coordination: "I can run forever but the my field instincts are still missing a bit. There were one or two moments where I twisted my foot. My coordination isn´t ideal yet." His availability for Sunday´s home match against Energie Cottbus is doubtful. However, Kehl states that he realizes, "The only way to find the confidence I need is by playing in matches. Let´s see how this week goes. Then we´ll make a decision about the weekend."

I am translating the Westline article and posting it to the e-mail list. It is more truthful.

They don't like us posting full articles here.

EDIT: I WOULD LIKE TO THANK "JONAM" FOR SETTING ME STRAIGHT ON THIS ONE!!

I don't know what to say for club management. They seem to withhold more and more information from the fans these days. There are times I believe they have flat out LIED to us too.

If management doesn't get their shit straight, they may do something I never thought anyone could do.

No, not just get BVB relegated, but drive away some of the legions of fans who live and die with this club and drive away players like Christoph Metzelder and Dede who have grown at this club and hold this club dear to their hearts.

There are two things I really hate when it comes to football clubs and they go hand in hand. Dishonest management and cheaters. Those are the reasons I could no longer be a FC Bayern fan when I left them.

These guys are starting to remind of Bayern back in those days on the dishonesty side.....

Kehl might drop out of the injury list as there are plans to start him against Cottbus this Sunday.

Kicker is reporting that Nuri Sahin came back from the Turkey training camp with some type of Achilles Tendon injury.

It's not reported to be a tear, but seemingly the same thing that kept Martin Amedick out for about three weeks.

Looks like Frei will have to undergo hip surgery after the season. The injury isn't major and he's been playing with for some time now. However, Thomas Doll says it most likely will require surgery that Frei should have right after the season.

No word yet on recovery time. Just that he should be fit in time to prepare for the new season.

Kehl looks like he will make his return to the team roster for the Wolfsburg match, but don't expect him to play.

Yup and that really sucks for Switzerland because we need him to play against Argentina :o

Oh well, it's a friendly and we are going to lose anyway...at least Frei will finish the season with Dortmund & score a few
more goals :D

It indeed appears as if we are going into Leverkusen without our biggest offensive gun.

Alexander Frei should be undergoing hip surgery sometime this week. Recovery time is estimated at three to five months.

Meaning, if we are very lucky, he might be ready for the start of the new season. If we're not, he could miss the first two to three months of the new season.

Damn it that really blows... So what are Frei's stats like? 32 games and 16 goals right?

The surgery was indeed successful. Story will be up at the official site's English page sometime in the next few hours.

The BVB website reports that both Sebastian Tyrala and Daniel Gordon were injured in training. Tyrala has a torn groin muscle and Gordon possibly a torn outer meniscus.

Hopefully, we'll have the article up at the BVB Official Page soon.

EDIT: There has been an update. Gordon will undergo knee surgery this coming week. More details at the website.

Frei is recovering a lot quicker than was expected. Check out the story below at the Official BVB Website's English Page:

There are rumors that Zorc is already looking for a new player for Kehl's position. BVB are finally considering the possibility that Kehl might be done.

Most of you probably already know that Frei suffered a torn calf muscle last week and will probably be out another three weeks. The club would like him to make his return for the 14 September match against Werder, but I don't see that happening.
