Any word on Götze's injury??

at least he could stand up and go...looked like a Muskelfaserriss to me, we'll see. Hopefully it isn't that though, it would be tragic if this was his last game of the World Cup.

Scored again and had a beautiful assist before he had to leave the field.

What this article doesn't say is that he needs surgery. The club has confirmed that on their website too.

That was determined by the MRI he had on Wednesday.

The newer club article says he won't be able to do any sport-related training for six weeks and speculates he'll be out for two or three months.

The French teenager has suffered a dislocated shoulder and faces (at least) six weeks on the sidelines, meaning that he may struggle to play any meaningful role before Christmas...

Latest injury updates out of Dortmund:

Dede: Suffered a concussion and spent Friday night at a Dortmund hospital. Says in the story below his head still hurts, but he hopes to play on Sunday at Bremen.

I hope they hold him out. Concussions are not something to be taken lightly.

I know I feared Dede also had a broken jaw when seeing him leave the field on Friday night.

However, in the article linked below, Dede says a few teeth are loose, but his jaw is OK.

Concussion - Dede Hopes To Play Against Bremen On Sunday

Referee Dr. Felix Brych advises Dede to leave the field
(Note: Dr. Brych is a lawyer, not a medical doctor)

Even two days after clashing with goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller, BVB defender Dede is not feeling much better. "My head still hurts," he said in a low voice, "I have to take things slowly for a few days." The 31-year-old suffered a concussion in the Bundesliga game against Hertha BSC (2-0) on Friday night and remains doubtful for the match in Bremen on Sunday.

Kehl: Sebastian Kehl underwent surgery in Switzerland to remove inflamed scar tissue from his adductor tendons. According to the BVB team physician, Kehl will be unavailable until around the first part of February.

Le Tallec: Damien Le Tallec will undergo surgery to repair damage to his right shoulder suffered in the German Cup defeat at Osnabrück. As previously reported, he should be out three to four months after the operation.

Yeah. Even worse when it is the guy's third or fourth knee surgery overall.

oh cripes, that is bad. I don't have 3 or 4 surgeries under my belt but I do know that my left knee won't let me run for more than a few miles on cement. I have to do most of my running on soft dirt or a treadmill()

true but they have to deal with tackling(league and not) while I just have to watch out for the neighborhood folks walking their dogs or the occasional rogue disgruntled house cat that might run in my way when I run at night.:p

The way he's been playing this season, we probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
