heard that Blaszczykowski will starting training this week already, so I suppose he's fit on Saturday.
From what I translated for BVB, they HOPE he can make it back to training by Thursday.
I've said this before, but I think we need to give Kuba a break. I thought we should have given him a break against Bochum.
Are we really so dependent on one player? If so, what happens if he breaks his leg next time instead of his nose???
Let someone else play. Let Kuba begin to heal.

Here's the Frei injury article in English at the Official BVB Website:

I agree, he actually needs a break but unfortunately I also think that we're indeed dependent on him at the moment. :o With Frei out, I think we should let Kuba play against Hamburg.
I hope we can solve that problem in the winter break by signing a midfielder who has a similar playing style as Kuba ;)

Why? Especially if he plays the way he did against Bochum? If he still feels like that, he won't help us anyhow.
Even with Frei out, we can play Valdez and Zidan up front.
If Kuba isn't 100%, we won't lose that much.

Hmm. I admit that would be "surprised", but would welcome such a move!

Looks like Kuba won't be ready for the Cup Match with Bremen or the season re-start against Leverkusen. I think we'll be lucky to have him back for the big match in Munich against Bayern.......

The Official BVB Website reports Kehl, Kuba and Dede will return to training with the team on Tuesday.
Klopp said Kuba has been completing his rehab workouts in Poland without pain and has returned to Dortmund.
Both Kuba and Hajnal will be honored before Saturday's match against Leverkusen for being named "Footballer of the Year" in their respective countries.
The site also states Mats Hummels is about two weeks from returning. It also says it would be best if Subotic and Santana not even get a sniffle during that time. LOL!! :D
Patrick Owomoyela, who missed the Bremen cup match with flu-like symptoms, trained with the team today, but is still questionable for tomorrow's match.
Klopp said, "We'll see (on whether Owomoyela will play or not). There isn't that much to convince me to change the lineup."

Dede, Kuba and Kehl are all back in training.
I hope Kuba can play against Bayern on Sunday.
I would only chance Dede and Kehl against Cottbus the week after if they are fit.
I believe Hummels is still about a week away from returning.

Any news on Tinga's injury? It Looked like he was struggling with a knee injury in the Bayern match.

I believe it was "just" a strained thigh muscle.

I'm sorry. It is a badly bruised thigh, not a "strained" thigh.
I read a bad report.
Again, my apologies.

Thats good to hear.
Although thats probably the only position we have sufficient cover for.

Well, Tinga had been filling in for Kehl at sweeper. Kehl is back, but not match-fit yet. If Tinga can't play and Kehl isn't yet match-fit, I think we might have to go with Hummels there (he says he'll be fit for Sunday). I'm not sure if Kuba will be ready to re-join the starting lineup on Sunday. I think Kuba is expected to return to training again today (Wednesday).

My translation of a Kicker.de article
Dortmund: Hummels Preparing For His Comeback
Klopp Can Plan With Tinga
Midfielder Tinga should be available for Borussia Dortmund’s home match on Sunday against Energie Cottbus. The Brazilian suffered a bruised thigh in the 3-1 defeat against Bayern this past Sunday and had to be substituted out of the match at halftime. Mats Hummels could also return to the Borussia roster on Sunday for the first time since his ankle ligament injury.
Thanks to Tinga’s recovery, Klopp has more options for midfield. Team captain Sebastian Kehl, who played nearly ten minutes in Munich after recovering from his ankle problems is once again an option for the starting eleven. If Kehl returns to the starting lineup, Tinga, who is a set starter in Klopp’s system, would then move back to one of the half-midfield positions in the midfield diamond. This would raise the pressure on Florian Kringe, who has given very average performances this season (Kicker Season Rating: 3.68).
Another Dortmund regular starter could return to the roster on Sunday. Mats Hummels’ availability will depend o how he comes through stress tests. The former Bayern player missed the beginning of the second half of the season due to an ankle ligament injury suffered in an indoor tournament during preparation for the season’s second half. On Friday, it was announced that Dortmund had signed the 20 year-old defender on a permanent deal. Hummels was originally loaned to BVB until the end of the current season. The transfer fee was a little more than four million Euros.
