Just a little more info on the Faroese player with Arsenal. He signed a three year contract with Arsenal in early 2001 after playing for B36. Ingi picked Arsenal after narrowing his choices down from twenty other clubs that were interested in him.

No word on how he is doing with Arsenal.

Apparently he has been injured for awhile. He playing with the U-17's for Arsenal and hopefully making a name for himself because he needs to jump to the U-19's soon.

What are they doing there if there's no game to play?

Training in a warm weather climate.

Also, the rumor is that they will be playing two games against Kazakhstan in April. One match to be played in Torshavn, and the other in Toftir.

They played two games last month.

1-1 tie against Bryne from Norway and a 1-0 loss to Zenit (Russia).

The Faroe Islands are to play two games against Kazakhstan in late April.

April 27th in Toftir

The first game on April 27th will only feature Faroese domestic players. No HB players will be available for the 27th because they will be in Iceland playing KR.

The second game on April 29th such feature a few HB players and some Faroese who are playing abroad.

My mistake...

The Faroe Islands will be playing Iceland (not Lithuania) before they play Germany.

Faroese Supporters 6 German Supporters 2 :D ;)

Apparently 1,000-1,500 German fans have made the trip to the Faroe Islands. However, only 600 tickets are available for the German fans.

I was following the score at livescore.com and I must say the result really sucks. My western European favorite Iceland would've been in first in the group if 0-0 would've held!!
