Brazil won the World Cup in 1994. Before this, the last conquest was in 1970. If you to add 1970 + 1994 = 3964

Argentina won its last World Cup in 1986. Before, it won in 1978. Adding 1978 + 1986 = 3964

Germany last won in 1990. Before this it was in 1974. Adding 1990 + 1974 give 3964.

Following this logic, it would be easy to guess the winner of the Cup in 2002. Simple: it would be enough to bet in the 1962 champion. Thus: 3964 -2002 = 1962. The 1962 champion was Brazil.

Following this reasoning, who will win the World Cup in 2006?
The answer: 3964 - 2006 = 1958. The 1958 champion was Brazil of Pelé and Garrincha.

Uruguay won its last World Cup in 1950. Before, it won in 1930. Adding 1950 + 1930 = 3880

Italy won its last World Cup in 1982. Before, it won in 1938. Adding 1982 + 1938 = 3870

wouldnt you have to add 2002 not 1994 because thats the last time brazil won the world cup so that means its 1966 not 58 which means england wins but nice formula by the way

Nice formula, this means England are going to win in 1998.

So Germany will win in 2010, Uruguay in 2014, then WW3 will cancel the world cup in 2018 and 2022. Sounds likely.

you never know it might happen lmao. anyways this maybe be a better formula take the last team that won a wc add the first year they won by the 2nd last time they won and subtract it by the year of the wc you want to find the winner of. i hope thats not to complicated for you guys

3964 doncha mean? But, with the risk of developing a catchphrase, 3964 is not a World Cup year so it looks like it's never for Holland!

Not quite... it means that a country that has never won it before (and never will again) won it at home.

Just kidding about the never will again (hell, it might even be this year). =)

I'd be ok with the idea of this pattern going away. Loosing again to Uruguay in Brasil (2014) would be intolerable.
