Fox's new show. From the previews I thought it was going to be crap.
Last week was the 1st episode I watched. I was high and it was hilarious. This week I wanted to see if it was still funny while sober, it was. Good show!
That is all

I saw a couple of episodes, one with his dad in the hospital, another where he gets a construction job. It's moderately entertaining, but because of its style a lot of us will inevitably compare it to the incomparable Arrested Development.

Unfortunately (and fortunately), I haven't seen Arrested Development yet, so I am not comparing it to somethign great.

i saw one a couple weeks ago and didn't find it very funny, but i got stuck watching last night's ep and i laughed out loud a couple of times... notably when the hot chick and her boyfriend were arguing about when it's alright to fart. plus, they mentioned kansas city about 30 times throughout the ep.

I watched about an episode and a half at the beginning of the show's run.
Now, I'm speaking as someone who should find the basic concept - a suburban kid coming back home after college, finding out how hard it is to live under your parents' roof, the weird distance you feel from your friends who stayed home and moved on with their lives - a winning one. I (like others here, I'm sure) have been through that situation several times - a year spent at home right after college, and then another year-plus, a couple years later. It's a situation ripe for comedy with a little dash of poignancy in there for good measure.
And, in some ways it is likeable and accurate. Making a living space in the attached garage ain't that much different from sleeping in your dad's office/your old, closet-sized bedroom in the home your parents moved to, expecting that you'd leave the nest anyway (which is where I've been.)
It just isn't very funny at all. I want to like it a lot. Really. But I don't. Any resemblance to AD must be wholly superficial, cause I haven't seen a bit of the edge, weirdness and subversion that AD had.

This week's episode was head and shoulders above any other I've seen, which is most because my brother dvr's them. (7/10) but it should be noted that I was not sober.
