Our forum has been pretty dead today. Figures, the day I have little homework is the day the forum is least active. I'm not angry about it or any thing of the sort, I just had didn't know where else to post this.

Im angry, because no matter how hard you try to keep the tone of a debate civil, there is always someone who wants to try and make himself look better by throwing insults and saying crap like...
"anyhow who thinks this, is an idiot" or "you clearly do not know anything about football, or you havnt watched so and so"
instead of just continuing the debate without petty comments like that. Then you respond, and you get slated for responding.

I see some one has been venturing into the Chelski boards again.

I think I broke my foot/toe. Stress fracture. Too much jogging.
AND, I figured, ok, so now I'll swim for my workouts, that won't hurt my foot. So the pools on campus are closing after a few days for 2 weeks. Why can't we swim during finals?? Don't they know we have lots of STRESSSSSSS we need to swim out??

D'oh! :(
I hate injuries because it seems like even if I'm out just a few weeks, feels like I lose so much of what I gained (or the opposite, if its weight). Hopefully you can do some kind of exercise after 3-4 weeks though.
Oh yeah and once you're recovered fully, I'm not sure if you've had a gait analysis done. It's helpful to get that done at a local running shoe shop, they determine what kind of shoe is best for you and all. It's often free and helps cut down the injury risk.

The doc said I could still do other exercises: swimming, biking, elliptical, selected weight lifting, so I'll be alright. However, I had just made some breakthroughs in terms of pace in my jogging (which probably pushed my foot to the breaking point, literally), which I will lose completely now -- it probably will set me back to where I was 4-6 months ago. And of course, I was really looking forward to up the fitness level before hubby arrived. Just so I could get all cushy after a few months, and then he could really feel like a husband. :D
And I don't have a cast; the doc said he wanted to give me a soft one, but that a running shoe would work just the same. So, he ordered me to buy new shoes and to wear them at all times for the next 2 months. So, looks like there's nowhere to sign, Ray. :(
