Rangers coach Jan Wouters claims Scottish referees let the "cloggers" get away with illegal challenges. The Dutchman, who will leave Ibrox in the summer along with manager Alex McLeish, is critical of officials.

Wouters told The Sun: "I've seen fouls and things here you wouldn't believe and the referees don't even blow their whistle let alone give a red card. It's as if they have their own rules that are completely different from the rest of the world.

Former Holland World Cup star Wouters was brought to Ibrox by McLeish's predecessor, Dick Advocaat.

"Dado Prso has now adjusted to playing in Scotland, but he can't believe what he is still experiencing with blatant fouling and over-tolerant referees," he said. Other players had more trouble adjusting, like Thomas Buffel in the beginning, but he learned to use his superior technical ability to avoid the cloggers."

While I agree with some of his points, I would like to put this to the floor to see if we can compile a list of these 'cloggers'.

What's a clogger anyway, someone who makes clogs?

Ricksen, Prso (biggest fouler in CL), Rae and Kyrgiakos are hardly angels either.

I'm assuming that he's not being asked to stay on at the end of the season?

European football is full of pansies who will go down under a brisk wind, I'm glad Scottish football isn't like that.

Funny that Wouters complains about this. As a player he wasn't a sissy aswell. Using his elbow in the face's of players (Paul G. from England) and all the other rough fouls he committed. Players like Wouters always took advantage of referees like the ones from the UK continent. I prefer these referees. But Wouters as a coach is far different than Wouters as a player........

That's the problem with minor leagues, cheating and violence is the only way to stop the small minority of skillful players.
